John Edward Ince (August 29, 1878 – April 10, 1947), also credited as John E. Ince, was an American stage and motion pictures actor, a film director, and the eldest brother of Thomas H. Ince and Ralph Ince. John Ince became a member of The Lambs Club in 1919 like his brother Ralph, who had joined in 1916. A leading man from the early 1910s, he also directed and scripted several of his own vehicles. Barton MacLane (December 25, 1902 – January 1, 1969) was an American actor, playwright, and screenwriter. He appeared in many classic films from the 1930s through the 1960s, including his role as General Martin Peterson on the 1960s NBC television comedy series ''I Dream of Jeannie'', with Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman. Early life MacLane was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on Christmas Day, 1902. He attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, where he excelled at American football.
