Malvern railway station is a Commuter rail, commuter railway station on the southern border of Malvern, Victoria, Malvern, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The station is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register, and was opened on 7 May 1879. The station consists of an island platform and two Side platform, side platforms all accessed by a Footbridge, pedestrian bridge. There are two principal station buildings located on the central platform (platforms 2 and 3) and on platform 4, consisting of a small two and one-story brick buildings. These buildings were provided in 1914, as ticketing and staff offices. The station is only partially Accessibility, accessible due to a multiple steep access ramps. Malvern Tram Depot
Malvern tram depot is located in Coldblo Road, Armadale, Victoria, a suburb of Stonnington, Australia. Operated by Yarra Trams, it is one of eight tram depots on the Melbourne tram network. History Malvern tram depot was opened on 30 May 1910 by the Prahran & Malvern Tramways Trust (PMTT). It was included in the sale of the PMTT to the Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board on 1 March 1920. In 1930 a second tramshed was built on the opposite side of Coldblo Road. When the Public Transport Corporation was privatised in August 1999, Malvern depot passed to M>Tram. It passed to Yarra Trams when it took control of the entire tram network in April 2004. In January 2005 Coldblo Road that ran between the two sheds with one track was closed to vehicle traffic and two additional tracks laid. Malvern Link Railway Station
Malvern Link railway station serves Malvern Link in Worcestershire, England. It is one of two stations serving the town of Malvern, the other being Great Malvern station. History A six-mile railway from Henwick to Malvern Link opened in July 1859; in May 1860 the line was extended onward to Great Malvern and Malvern Wells. Most of the original station buildings (on the down (eastern) side) had to be demolished in the 1960s after falling into poor repair, though the station house has survived. Development A set of improvements, funded by Worcestershire County Council, Network Rail and the Railway Heritage Trust, was carried out in 2014 to replace the wooden 1960s station building and provide a new entrance to the up platform from Osborne Road. Malvern Station (Arkansas)
Malvern station is a train station at 200 E. First Street in Malvern, Arkansas. A former Missouri Pacific Railroad station, this red brick depot was originally constructed in 1916. Amtrak's ''Texas Eagle'' serves Malvern with one daily passenger train in each direction. The station is unstaffed and, because trains stop on a flag stop basis, advance reservations are strongly recommended. From 1876 to 1901, Malvern was the only junction point for rail passengers desiring to travel to Hot Springs National Park. Passengers arriving on the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern, a predecessor of Missouri Pacific Railroad, would transfer at Malvern to the trains of the Hot Springs Railroad. The former roundhouse of the Hot Springs Railroad is located across the track from the Malvern Amtrak station. Malverne is a historic railroad station along the West Hempstead Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is officially located at Hempstead Avenue and Utterby Road, in Malverne, New York, and is also parallel to Church Street near Malverne Village Hall. Parking is primarily for those with residential and non-residential permits, but metered parking is available. History Depending on the source, the station was built in either 1909 or February 1913. The station was originally named "Norwood" until it, and the community it serves were renamed Malverne, in order to alleviate confusion with another Norwood, New York in St. Lawrence County. "Norwood" was also the name of a station on the former Southern Hempstead Branch of the South Side Railroad of Long Island. Though not officially considered a historic landmark, it is the oldest surviving station along the West Hempstead Branch.
