Arpine Martoyan ( hy, Արփինե Մարտոյան; born 10 January 2007), known professionally as Maléna ( hy, Մալենա), is an Armenian singer and songwriter. She represented Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "", and went on to win the competition, becoming the second Armenian entrant to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Early life Born in Yerevan on 10 January 2007, Maléna was raised by her mother Anna Manucharyan, an actress. Together with her mother, she has appeared in several episodes of television comedy series '' Stone Cage''. Maléna studies at the Sayat-Nova music school, where she learned to play the cello. Malena is a famous tango song from 1941 whose lyrics were written by Homero Manzi and music composed by Lucio Demare. It was performed for the first time by Lucio Demare’s orchestra in the Boite Novelty, sung by Juan Carlos Miranda. This version was recorded in the movie ''El Viejo Hucha'', directed by Lucas Demare and with Osvaldo Miranda who did the cinematography. The movie was released on January 8, 1942, and April 29, 1942. This version was successfully recorded at RCA Victor by the Anibal Troilo orchestra, with the voice of Francisco Fiorentino. It has been considered one of the most beautiful tangos of all time. Melena or melaena refers to the dark black, tarry feces that are associated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. The black color and characteristic strong odor are caused by hemoglobin in the blood being altered by digestive enzymes and intestinal bacteria. Iron supplements may cause a grayish-black stool that should be distinguished from melena, as should black coloration caused by a number of medications, such as bismuth subsalicylate (the active ingredient in Pepto-Bismol), or by foods such as beetroot, black liquorice, or blueberries. ''VIS Idoli'' was the first and only EP by the Yugoslav new wave band Idoli. The cover of the EP is the ''Red Nude'', an act by Amedeo Modigliani. History The euphoria Idoli have made with their single Maljčiki / Retko te viđam sa devojkama resulted a great expectation on the next release. The band entered the studio in April 1981. Photographs from the recording sessions were released in newspapers and magazines. The band recorded six songs, including two cover versions. The whole material was released on a 12" self-titled EP. The band covered in an Elvis Costello style Chuck Berry's hit “Come On” but with lyrics in Serbo‐Croatian entitled "Hajde!" and "Devojko mala" for which the lyrics were taken from Nebojša Krstić's poetry book "O, Ima Načina".
