Malaysia competed in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, from 23 July to 3 August 2014. Media coverage Malaysian satellite television provider Astro, public broadcaster Radio Televisyen Malaysia and Media Prima Group private broadcasters TV3 (Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad) and NTV7 (Natseven TV Sdn Bhd) held the broadcast rights of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the country. This was the only time in 2010's decade Malaysian sports telecast when Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and Media Prima compete against each other for free-to-air broadcast rights for the event. Olympic Council of Malaysia, or commonly OCM or MOM, ( ms, Majlis Olimpik Malaysia, IOC code: MAS) is the National Olympic Committee representing Malaysia. Chan Peng Soon
Chan Peng Soon (born 27 April 1988) is a Malaysian badminton player specialised in the mixed doubles event. He is best known for his partnership with Goh Liu Ying where they have been consistently ranked among the top 10 mixed doubles pair in the world. Chan and Goh reached a career high ranking of world number 3 in 2012 and won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Career 2009–2013 In July 2009, Chan won his first senior international title with Lim Khim Wah at the Thailand Open by defeating compatriots Choong Tan Fook and Lee Wan Wah in the final. The diving competitions at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland took place between 30 July and 2 August at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh. It was one of two aquatic sports at the Games, along with swimming. Ooi Tze Liang
Ooi Tze Liang (, born 19 November 1993 in Penang) is a Malaysian diver. Ooi has represented Malaysia in various diving events such as 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, 2013 Southeast Asian Games and 2015 Southeast Asian Games. Early and personal life Tze Liang (who also goes by David) was born in Penang and started diving at the age of eight. He is currently studying at University of Malaya. He enjoys playing Lego and watching YouTube videos. Badminton At The 2014 Commonwealth Games – Mixed Team
The mixed team badminton event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games was held from July 24 to July 28 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. The teams were drawn into group stage draw. The top team in each group along with the two best runners-up advanced to the knockout round. The draw for the competition was done on July 21, 2014. This was Malaysia's third consecutive gold medal in the mixed team event at the Commonwealth Games. England took silver for the second time and Singapore took bronze, their first medal ever in the mixed team event. Badminton events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games took place between Thursday 24 July and Sunday 3 August at the newly built Emirates Arena, in Glasgow. Badminton is one of ten core sports at the Commonwealth Games and has been continuously held at the Games since its first appearance at the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston, Jamaica. Janice Woon Khe Wei (born 18 March 1989) is a Malaysian former badminton player in the doubles event. Career Her regular partner was Vivian Hoo. Together, they had ranked as high as No. 9 worldwide. Vivian Hoo Kah Mun (; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Hí Kâ-vùn''; born 19 March 1990) is a Malaysian badminton player. Career Teamed-up with Woon Khe Wei in the women's doubles event, they reached top 10 BWF World Ranking. Tan Wee Kiong (; born 21 May 1989) is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He is well-known for his former partnership with Goh V Shem, which began at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Tan and Goh won the gold medal in the men's doubles and the mixed team event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. They also won bronze at the 2014 Asian Games.
