Adolf Malan
Adolf Weich Malan (born 6 September 1961) is a former South African rugby union player. He played 159 matches for Northern Transvaal. His usual position was as lock, where he also played for the national team, the Springboks. Playing career Malan made his debut for South Africa on 26 August 1989 against a World XV team. The match was played at Newlands in Cape Town, and Malan started at lock, with the Springboks winning 20 to 19. He played in the subsequent test against the World XV, which was won 22 to 16 at Ellis Park. Malan next played for the Springboks in 1992, when he earned five international caps for South Africa, the first of which was against the All Blacks at Ellis Park, which the Springboks lost 24 to 27, as well as the following test against Australia. He then played in two tests against France in France, winning one and losing one. Malan's last test was on 14 November 1992 against England. Malan was known as a strong ball winner in the line–out. Ma Lan (born 23 April 1962) is a Chinese performing artist of Huangmei opera who usually plays ''dan'' (female) roles. Before her abrupt (and unannounced) departure from the stage in 2000, Ma Lan was considered the most popular Huangmei opera performer in the country. She has won the Plum Blossom Award, the China TV Golden Eagle Award, and the Flying Apsaras Award, and performed on the CCTV New Year's Gala in 1984, 1987, 1988, 1992, 1997, and 2005. She is often compared to the 1950s/1960s superstar Yan Fengying, whom she movingly portrayed in a hit 1988 TV series. Ma Lan is married to writer Yu Qiuyu. Gujiao () is a county-level city of Shanxi Province, North China, it is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Taiyuan. The estimated population of Gujiao in 2017 is about 222,000. Geography Gujiao is located in central Shanxi. It's a county-level city, part of the prefecture-level city of Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province. Xunyi County
Xunyi () is a county in the central part of Shaanxi province, China, bordering Gansu province to the north and northwest. It is the northernmost county-level division of Xianyang City. The county is noted for its apple orchards producing the "Malan Red", a variety of Fuji (apple), red Fuji apple named after the Malan History of the People's Liberation Army, Red Army site. Yanling County, Henan
Yanling County () is a county in the central part of Henan province, China. It is the easternmost county-level division of the prefecture-level city of Xuchang. History Human habitation of the area began around 6000 BC. In the early Zhou Dynasty, the area became the state of Yan (). In the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, the area became known as ''Yan Yi'' () after the destruction of the state of Yan under Duke Wu of Zheng () in the early part of the reign of King Ping of Zhou (after 770 BC). In the fifth month of 722 BC, Duke Zhuang of Zheng defeated his younger brother Gongshu Duan () north of present-day Yanling County. The famous Battle of Yanling (575 BC) took place in Yanling County. Yanling County was established during the Western Han dynasty in the year 201 BC.
