''Make Mine Music'' was an Australian television series, which aired in 1962, from 28 May and ended circa 21 December. It was produced and broadcast on Melbourne station HSV-7, but was also shown on Sydney station ATN-7 (the following year the two stations formed the ''Australian Television Network'', later known as Seven Network). The show was a daytime sing-along music program, which also featured a musical quiz and solos. The program aired live. HSV (TV Station)
HSV is a television station in Melbourne, Australia. It is part of the Seven Network, one of the three main commercial television networks in Australia, its first and oldest station. It launched in time for the 1956 Summer Olympic Games in Melbourne. HSV-7 is the home of AFL coverage. The HSV building (also known as 'Broadcast Centre Melbourne') was the network's operations hub, where the Master Control Room was located, controlling all metropolitan and regional feeds. Programming lineup, advertisement output, feed switching, time zone monitoring and national transmission output was previously delivered there. ''Make Ours Music'' was an Australian music television series which aired from 1958 to circa 1961 on ABC. Produced in Sydney, it also aired in Melbourne. Originally a half-hour series, it later expanded to an hour. ''Make Ours Music'' featured a mix of live songs and dance numbers. The producer of the series was James Upshaw, who also produced series like ''Hit Parade'' (1956-1959) and ''The Lorrae Desmond Show'' (1960-1964). The latter occupied the time slot of ''Make Ours Music'' for some time in 1960. The archival status of the series is unknown. Though 16mm film copies ("telerecordings", also known as kinescope recordings) were likely made so it could be shown in Melbourne, it is not known how many of these still exist. ''Make Mine Music'' is a 1946 American animated musical anthology film produced by Walt Disney and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It is the eighth Disney feature animated film, released on April 20, 1946. During World War II, much of Walt Disney's staff was drafted into the army, and those that remained were called upon by the U.S. government to make training and propaganda films. As a result, the studio was littered with unfinished story ideas. In order to keep the feature film division alive during this difficult time, the studio released six package films including this one, made up of various unrelated segments set to music.
