The Main Road is a regional highway located in the district of Cox's Bazar, Chittagong Division, Bangladesh. Background The length of the main road is 5 km. It extends from the central bus terminal to Hashemiya Madrasa. This road was previously under the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority. Later it was handed over to the Cox's Bazar Development Authority (CDA) which is now responsible for its maintenance. Cox's Bazar
Cox's Bazar (; bn, কক্সবাজার, Kôksbajar; ) is a city, fishing port, tourism centre, and district headquarters in Southeastern Bangladesh. It is located south of the city of Chittagong. Cox's Bazar is also known by the name ''Panowa,'' which translates literally as "yellow flower". Another old name was "Palongkee". The city covers an area of with 27 mahallas and 9 wards and as of 2011 had a population of 265,500. Cox's Bazar is connected by road and air with Chittagong. Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) () is the road transport regulatory agency of Bangladesh.
