Maicon Pereira de Oliveira (8 May 1988 – 8 February 2014) commonly known as Maicon, was a Brazilian footballer who played in the Ukrainian Premier League for most of his professional career. He performed as a striker. Club career Volyn Lutsk Maicon was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2009, he moved to Ukrainian Premier League club Volyn Lutsk from Atlético Mogi. In his first season with the club he scored 13 goals in 18 matches in the First League (Persha Liha), guiding Volyn to promotion to the Premier League after a second-place finish. He made a further 3 cup appearances, however he failed to score a goal in them. In his second season, he was unable to keep up his scoring rate from the previous season and, despite netting a hat trick in the cup, he was loaned to Steaua București for the second half of the season. The 2010–11 Ukrainian Cup is the 20th annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition, and third under the name of ''DATAGROUP – Football Ukraine Cup''. The Cup begins with two preliminary rounds, before the first round proper involving the Premier League clubs. The draw for both the preliminary rounds was held on July 14, 2010. The First Preliminary Round consists of teams from Druha Liha and Amateur Cup champions and has only five fixtures. In the Second Preliminary Round teams of the Persha Liha enter the competition. Sixteen teams, winners of the 2nd preliminary round enter the First Round or the Round of 32 where the Premier League teams enter the competition for the first time. Football Club Mariupol ( uk, Футбольний клуб "Маріуполь" ) was a Ukrainian professional football club based in Mariupol, that competed in the Ukrainian Premier League. Mircea Lucescu (; born 29 July 1945) is a Romanian professional football manager and former player, who is currently head coach of Ukrainian Premier League club Dynamo Kyiv. He is one of the most decorated managers of all time. Lucescu is also one of the most successful players of the Romanian league championship, having won all of his seven titles with Dinamo București. Apart from the latter club, he had spells at Știința București and Corvinul Hunedoara, and made 70 appearances for the Romania national team, which he captained in the 1970 FIFA World Cup. Yevhen Oleksandrovych Seleznyov ( uk, Євген Олександрович Селезньов; born 20 July 1985) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Mynai. He previously played three spells at Shakhtar Donetsk, winning the UEFA Cup in 2009, and a domestic double three years later. The 2011–12 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 21st since its establishment and fourth since its reorganisation. The season began on 8 July 2011 when newly promoted PFC Oleksandria visited FC Vorskla Poltava. FC Shakhtar Donetsk were the defending champions, having won their 6th league title in the 2010–11 season and they successfully defended their title by winning the championship in the last round of the competition. A total of sixteen teams participated in the league, the best fourteen sides of the 2010–11 season and two promoted clubs from the 2010–11 Ukrainian First League.
