Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through Universal suffrage, adult franchise. Each List of constituencies of Telangana Legislative Assembly, constituency elects one member of the assembly. Members are popularly known as M.L.A's. The United Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election of 2009 took place in April 2009, concurrently with the 2009 Indian general election. The elections were held in the state in the first phase (2009-04-16) and the second phase (2009-04-23). The results were declared on 2009-05-16. The Telangana Legislative Assembly election was held in Telangana on 7 December 2018 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly since the formation of the state in 2014. Teegala Krishna Reddy
Teegala Krishna Reddy (born 10 June 1949) is an Indian politician, a former Member of Legislative Assembly and a former Mayor of Hyderabad, from Telangana state. He is currently in the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. Early life Reddy was born in Ranga Reddy district, Meerpet. He completed his BA in 1971 from Osmania University. He is the Chairman of Teegala Krishna Reddy Engineering College. Career Reddy joined the Telugu Desam Party during its foundation. He contested the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) elections in 1986 from Gandhi Nagar division on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party and lost. Patlolla Sabitha Indra Reddy (born 5 May 1963) is an Indian politician who has been the Minister for Education of Telangana state since 2019. Reddy started her political career with the Indian National Congress and in 2009 became the first woman Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, serving until 2014.
