Magnificent Butcher
''The Magnificent Butcher'' () is a 1979 Hong Kong martial arts comedy film directed by Yuen Woo-ping, and starring Sammo Hung, Kwan Tak-hing, Yuen Biao, and Wei Pai. The film is based on the story of Lam Sai-wing, one of the students of the legendary Chinese folk hero Wong Fei-hung. Hung plays "Butcher" Lam Sai-wing and Kwan Tak-hing plays Wong Fei-hung, a role he had played before in over 70 films. The film also features Hung's opera "brother" Yuen Biao as another of Wong's students, Leung Foon, a role he would reprise years later in the film ''Once Upon a Time in China'' along with Jet Li. ''The Magnificent Butcher'' was produced as Hung's attempt to duplicate the success of Jackie Chan's 1978 martial arts action comedy film ''Drunken Master'', in which Chan plays Wong Fei-hung. Fan Mei-sheng
Fan Mei-sheng (; born 13 September 1942) also known as Fan Mui-sang, is a prolific Hong Kong Cantonese actor. Fan Mei-sheng started acting in movies from 1964; his first movie was ''The Story of Sue San''. He made his name in Shaw Brothers Studio productions, including the role of 'Black Whirlwind' in ''All Men Are Brothers.'' Through the 1970s and 1980s, he was often cast as the villain in many Hong Kong martial arts films and thrillers. In 1979, Fan replaced Simon Yuen (who died during filming) in '' The Magnificent Butcher''. That, as well as his role as an explosives man in ''The Postman Fights Back'', became one of his best known performances. He also acted in the Michael Cimino film, '' Year of the Dragon''; and in total has acted in one hundred films. Myocardial Infarction
A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to the coronary artery of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort which may travel into the shoulder, arm, back, neck or jaw. Often it occurs in the center or left side of the chest and lasts for more than a few minutes. The discomfort may occasionally feel like heartburn. Other symptoms may include shortness of breath, nausea, feeling faint, a cold sweat or feeling tired. About 30% of people have atypical symptoms. Women more often present without chest pain and instead have neck pain, arm pain or feel tired. Among those over 75 years old, about 5% have had an MI with little or no history of symptoms. Yuen Siu-tien () (27 November 1912 – 8 January 1979) (also known as Yuan Xiaotian, Simon Yuen, Sam Seed or "Ol' Dirty") was a Hong Kong actor and martial artist. in the late 1970s, Yuen is perhaps best known as Beggar So (a.k.a. Sam Seed) in three films: ''Drunken Master'', '' Story of Drunken Master'' and his final film ''Dance of the Drunk Mantis''. Lim Gan (林根), better known in Hong Kong by his stagename Sai Gwa-Pau (西瓜刨) (7 October 1918 – 12 March 2001) was a Hong Kong film actor who played roles in over 600 movies from the 1950s onwards. Fung Ging-man (), (22 January 1912 – 9 November 1997) sometimes credited as Ging-man Fung and Fung King-Man, was a Cantonese Hong Kong actor, script supervisor, production manager and director. He acted in over 300 films, and he also played as himself in '' Bruce Lee, the Man and the Legend'', which starred Bruce Lee.
