Koudekerk Aan Den Rijn
Koudekerk aan den Rijn (English: ''Cold Church upon Rhine'') is a village located in the municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands. It is located about 4 km west of the urban centre, in the province of South Holland. History Koudekerk aan den Rijn is a dike village which developed in the Early Middle Ages along the Luttike Rijn and the Oude Rijn. The Dutch Reformed church is a three aisled basilica-like church. The tower was built around 1400, but probably contains 13th century elements. The 15th century was dedicated to Aleid van Poelgeest who was killed in 1392. The church and tower were extensively restored between 1935 and 1936. Groot-Poelgeest Castle was first mentioned in 1326, but probably dated from around 1250. The castle started to deteriorate after 1705 and it turned into a ruin. The tower, the castle island and a carriage house remain. Tholen
Tholen () is a 25,000 people municipality in the southwest of the Netherlands. The municipality of Tholen takes its name from the town of Tholen, which is the largest population center in the municipality. The municipality consists of two peninsulas, formerly islands, the larger one on the south also called Tholen, the smaller one on the north called Sint Philipsland. The two are separated by the former strait, now bay, of Krabbenkreek. The municipality is bordered on the east by the Eendracht, once a Scheldt branch but now part of the Scheldt-Rhine Canal, crossed by three road bridges, by the Oosterschelde estuary to the south, the straits of Keeten- Mastgat to the west and the Krammer strait to the north. A contralto () is a type of classical female singing voice whose vocal range is the lowest female voice type. "Where Corals Lie" is a poem by Richard Garnett which was set to music by Sir Edward Elgar as the fourth song in his song-cycle ''Sea Pictures''. Edward Elgar
Sir Edward William Elgar, 1st Baronet, (; 2 June 1857 – 23 February 1934) was an English composer, many of whose works have entered the British and international classical concert repertoire.
