Maa (1991 Film)
''Maa'' () is a 1991 Indian Hindi-language horror drama film, produced by Anil Sharma (director), Anil Sharma under the Shatketan Associates banner and directed by Ajay Kashyap. It stars Jaya Pradha and Jeetendra in the pivotal roles and music composed by Anu Malik. It is a remake of sorts of the 1990 American movie, ''Ghost (1990 film), Ghost.'' Plot Ram Khanna is a wealthy industrialist with a trusting soul. Unknown to him, his elder brother Murli Manohar and his sister-in-law Maya are after his money. Their greed gets the better of them and they make an astrologer lie to him that a woman whose name starts with letter "M" will enter his life. As luck would have it, Ram spots a dancer named Mamta and is instantly smitten by her. What Ram doesn't know is that Mamta is the daughter of Heerabai, a prostitute. Guddi Maruti is an Indian actress best known for her comedy roles on TV and in Bollywood movies. Early life Maruti was born to an actor-director father Marutirao Parab. Poornima Shrestha (born 6 September 1960 as Sushma Shrestha), is an Indian playback singer. Starting as a child singer, she later reinvented into a leading playback singer in Bollywood during the 1990s. She started her career as a child singer in '' Andaz'' (1971) under music director duo Shankar Jaikishan for the hit song "Hai Na Bolo Bolo" alongside Mohammed Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. Chandrashekhar Vaidya (7 July 1922 – 16 June 2021), known simply as Chandrashekhar, was an Indian actor and filmmaker working in the Bollywood film industry. He was best known for playing supporting characters in films starring Rajesh Khanna in lead roles and later for playing Arya Sumant in the epic television series Ramayan. He died of age-related illness on 16 June 2021, at the age of 98, though some news sources incorrectly listed his age as 97. Early life Chandrashekhar was born in Hyderabad on 7 July 1922.
