Ma'ara Ave
Mea Tangi Me Ma'ara Joshua Ave (born 6 July 1998) is a New Zealand cricketer. Ave is of Cook Islands heritage. He has an honours degree in chemical engineering with a master's degree in dairy science and technology. He works as a researcher for Fonterra. A right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper, Ave has played Hawke Cup cricket since 2014, first for Marlborough cricket team, Marlborough and more recently for Manawatu cricket team, Manawatu. He made his List A cricket, List A debut for Central Districts cricket team, Central Districts in the 2018–19 Ford Trophy on 24 October 2018. He made his first-class cricket, first-class debut on 15 November 2021, for Central Districts in the 2021–22 Plunket Shield season. 2021–22 Super Smash (men's Cricket)
The 2021–22 Dream11 Men's Super Smash (named after the competition's sponsor Dream11) was the seventeenth season of the Men's Super Smash Twenty20 cricket tournament that was played in New Zealand. In July 2021, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) named all the squads for the domestic teams ahead of the 2021–22 season, and confirmed that the matches would mainly be played at the weekend. On 27 October 2021, NZC confirmed the full fixtures for the tournament. The Wellington Firebirds were the defending champions. Prior to the tournament, the Northern Districts T20 team, previously known as the Northern Knights, was rebranded as the Northern Brave. The 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The first stage of the qualification pathway in the East Asia-Pacific (EAP) region consisted of two sub-regional qualifiers: Qualifier A in Vanuatu in September 2022, and Qualifier B in Japan in October 2022. The Cook Islands and Fiji both played their first official men's T20I matches during Qualifier A. Vanuatu finished top of Qualifier A with five wins out of six, and advanced to the regional final. A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Starting from the format's inception in 2005, T20I status only applied to Full Members and some Associate Member teams. Max Wilkie Chu (born 21 March 2000) is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Otago in the 2018–19 Plunket Shield season on 1 March 2019. Prior to his first-class debut, he was named in New Zealand's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In February 2019, he also played for the New Zealand XI side in a 50-over tour match against Bangladesh. He made his Twenty20 debut on 14 December 2019, for Otago in the 2019–20 Super Smash.
