MV Cruzeiro Do Canal
MV ''Cruzeiro do Canal'' is a motor-vessel/ferry that is owned by Atlânticoline (previously operated by Transmaçor), that provided daily or irregular ferry service between the islands of Pico, Faial and/or São Jorge, in the archipelago of the Azores throughout the year. History The ferry was constructed by Estaleiros São Jacinto, of Aveiro, in 1987, under contract from the Regional Government of the Azores. Horta, Azores
Horta () is a municipality and city in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores encompassing the island of Faial. Transmaçor ( pt, Transmaçor – Transportes Marítimos Açorianos, Lda) was a sea transport/ferry operator in the Central Group of islands of the Azores, headquartered in the city of Horta, on the island of Faial. Pico Island
Pico Island (''Ilha do Pico,'' ) is an island in the Central Group of the Portuguese Azores. The landscape features an eponymous volcano, Ponta do Pico, which is the highest mountain in Portugal, the Azores, and the highest elevation of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Madalena (Azores)
Madalena () is a municipality along the western coast of the island of Pico, in the Portuguese Azores. It has 6,332 inhabitants as of 2021, in an area of 147.12 km². The municipality is fronted by the stratovolcano Pico in the eastern frontier, and the Faial Channel which divides Pico from the island of Faial seven kilometers away. Vasco Ilídio Alves Cordeiro (born 28 March 1973) is a Portuguese Socialist Party politician, who served as President of the Regional Government of the Azores from 2012, following his party's victory on the 2012 Azores regional election, until 2020. Early life Vasco Cordeiro was born in the civil parish of Covoada, deannexed from the neighboring parish of Relva, in the flanks of the Serra Devassa, northwest of Ponta Delgada.
