MLW World Women's Featherweight Championship
The MLW World Women's Featherweight Championship is a women's professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion Major League Wrestling (MLW). The current champion is Janai Kai who is in her first reign. History MLW previously teased the formation of a women's division on August 18, 2019, later announcing its official launch on October 18, 2019. The division's first official match was held at MLW Blood and Thunder of 2019 between Zeda Zhang and The Spider Lady which Zhang was successful at winning via disqualification. Following MLW coming back from a lengthy hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on July 7, 2021, it was announced that Shimmer Women Athletes co-founder Dave Prazak had joined MLW to help relaunch its women's division. Major League Wrestling
Major League Wrestling (MLW), is an American professional wrestling promotion based in New Rochelle, New York. The promotion was founded in 2002 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by former WWE writer Court Bauer. The promotion markets its product as "Hybrid Wrestling", with its roster featuring a mix of different styles. The promotion originally ran live events between 2002 and 2004, with these events seen on the television series, ''MLW Underground TV''. Holidead
Camille Ligon (born July 21, 1986), known by her ring name Holidead, is an American professional wrestler. She is currently signed to Major League Wrestling (MLW). Professional wrestling career Ring of Honor Wrestling (ROH) (2017–2022) In 2017 Holidead debuted in Ring of Honor Wrestling (ROH) in a One-on-one match against Sumie Sakai but was unsuccessful. Afterwards Holidead entered the Women of Honor Championship tournament in 2018 but lost to Deonna Purrazzo in the first round via submission. MLW Slaughterhouse was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by Major League Wrestling (MLW), which took place on October 14, 2023, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was MLW's third live special produced for FITE+, with additional matches being taped for future episodes of '' MLW Fusion''. The event also featured the MLW return of Tom Lawlor after a two-year sabbatical, who then later announced that he had signed with MLW. Submission wrestling, also known as Submission grappling, Submission fighting a form of competition and a general term for martial arts and combat sports that focus on clinch and ground fighting with the aim of obtaining a submission through the use of submission holds. The term "submission wrestling" usually refers only to the form of competition and training that does not use a '' gi'', or "combat kimono", of the sort often worn with belts that establish rank by color, though some may use the loose trousers of such a uniform, without the jacket. Danielle Paultre (born January 25, 1994), better known by the ring-name Willow Nightingale, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
