M.U.S.C.L.E. (video Game)
''Tag Team Match: M.U.S.C.L.E.'', known in Japan as is a fighting game developed by Tose and published by Bandai for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The Japanese edition is based on Yudetamago's manga and anime series ''Kinnikuman'', but the North American edition was not due to the source material being not well-known outside Japan. It has eight playable characters, each with his own special move. The game was followed by a 1987 Japan-only sequel for the Famicom Disk System titled . Gameplay The game has two modes, one requiring the player to defeat a computer opponent while the other requires two players to fight against each other. The A button jumps, and B punches or activates a special move after collecting an energy ball that is randomly thrown by the boy called "Meat" (Kinnikuman's Trainer Meat Alexandria). Tose (company)
() (also called Tose Software) is a Japanese video game development company based in Kyoto. It is mostly known for developing Nintendo's ''Game & Watch Gallery'' series, various ''Dragon Ball'' games, as well as other Nintendo products. Tose has developed or co-developed over 1,000 games since the company's inception in 1979, but is virtually never credited in the games themselves (an exception to this is ''Game & Watch Gallery 4'' and ''The Legendary Starfy'' series, as Tose shares the copyright with Nintendo). The following is a list of characters from ''Kinnikuman'', a manga/anime series written by Yudetamago. The majority of the cast of Kinnikuman are Choujin (超人 ''Chōjin''; "superhuman"), superpowered individuals who comes in all shapes and sizes, though for the most part adhering to a humanoid form. As the series shifts from being a superhero pastiche to be more wrestling focused, The Choujins's role also evolves from being superheroes to being superhuman wrestlers. They are initially introduced as a force of good, but as the series progresses, it introduces more morally gray Choujin, such as the Brutal Choujin, or even malicious factions such as the Devil Choujins. The upstanding Choujins would soon be described as Justice Choujins, who typically assume the role of the conventional superhero.
