Lü Xiwen
Lü Xiwen (; born July 1955) is a Chinese politician who served as the Deputy Communist Party Secretary of Beijing between 2013 and 2015, and prior to that, the head of the Organization Department of the Beijing Party Committee. She was investigated for corruption in 2015, and later expelled from the Communist Party. Life and career Lü was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. During the Cultural Revolution, she was part of production teams performing manual labour in rural Beijing. She joined the Chinese Communist Party in August 1982. She has a degree in textiles engineering from the Beijing Industry College (now Beijing Institute of Technology). She then worked in the Communist Youth League organization at her alma mater, before being transferred to the municipal finance office, then the municipal department of industry, then the municipal party Organization Department. Central Commission For Discipline Inspection
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) is the highest internal control institution of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), tasked with enforcing internal rules and regulations and combating corruption and malfeasance in the party. Since the vast majority of officials at all levels of government are also Communist Party members, the commission is in practice the top anti-corruption body in China. The modern commission was established at the 3rd Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee in December 1978. Control systems had existed previously under the name "Central Control Commission" for a brief period in 1927 and again between 1955 and 1968, and under its present name from 1949 to 1955.
