Lü Chuanzan
Lü Chuanzan (; September 1932 – 16 April 2018) was a People's Republic of China politician who served as Chairman of Hebei Provincial People's Congress, and Chairman of Hebei CPPCC. He was a delegate to the 6th National People's Congress (1983–1988), 7th National People's Congress (1988–1993) and 8th National People's Congress (1993–1998). He was born in September 1932 in Muping District, Yantai, Shandong Province. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in June 1955, and graduated from the Political Economics Department of Renmin University of China. Lü Chuanzan died on 16 April 2018 in Shijiazhuang Shijiazhuang (; ; Mandarin: ), formerly known as Shimen and romanized as Shihkiachwang, is the capital and most populous city of China’s North China's Hebei Province. Lü (surname)
Lü () is the pinyin (Lǚ with the tone diacritic) and Wade–Giles romanisation of the Chinese surname written in simplified character and in traditional character. It is the 47th most common surname in China, shared by 5.6 million people, or 0.47% of the Chinese population as of 2002. It is especially common in Shandong and Henan provinces. The surname originated from the ancient State of Lü. Lü Shang ( fl. 11th century BC), the founder of the State of Qi, was the first person known to have the surname. It is 22nd on the ''Hundred Family Surnames'', contained in the verse 何呂施張 (He Lü Shi Zhang). Romanization Lü is the standard pinyin spelling of the Chinese character 吕/呂. Cheng Weigao
Cheng Weigao (; September 1933 – December 28, 2010) was a Chinese politician, best known for his term as the Communist Party Secretary of Hebei province between 1993 and 1998. In his late career, Cheng was expelled from the Chinese Communist Party in 2003 after a corruption investigation. He was demoted, but not charged. Cheng's son, Cheng Muyang (Michael Ching), lives in Vancouver, Canada as of 2015. Biography Cheng was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. He followed his parents to neighboring Changzhou in his teenage years. He entered the Communist Youth League organization in Changzhou in 1949, and joined the Chinese Communist Party about a year later. In 1959, he became a secretary to the deputy party chief of Chengdu. In 1965, he was named head of the tractor factory in Changzhou. In 1972, he was transferred to work at the Shanghuang Mine.
