Forward (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Over time, as more specialized roles developed, each of the guards and forwards came to be differentiated, and today each of the five positions are known by unique names, each of which has also been assigned a number: point guard (PG) or 1, the shooting guard (SG) or 2, the small forward (SF) or 3, the power forward (PF) or 4, and the center (C) or 5. Yannis Morin (born August 31, 1993) is a French professional basketball player for UCAM Murcia CB of the Liga ACB. Professional career Born in Fort-de-France, capital of the French overseas department of Martinique, Morin went through the youth ranks of Golden Lion Basketball in Saint-Joseph, Martinique, before joining the Pôle Espoirs de Martinique. He enrolled at INSEP, National Institute of Sport, expertise, and performance, in 2008. In 2012, he joined LNB Pro A side Cholet Basket. Angelo Constantin Tsagarakis (alternate spellings: Angelos, Aggelos, Tsagkarakis) (Greek: Άγγελος Τσαγκαράκης; born June 3, 1984) is a retired French-Greek professional basketball player who played both point guard and shooting guard. Tsagarakis played college basketball at Oregon State University, with the Oregon Beavers, and at Cal Poly Pomona, with the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos. Recognized as one of the premier 3x3 players on the international scene, he was a member and leader of the French National Team that competed and brought back the bronze medal at the 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Cup. In professional basketball, the most commonly used statistical benchmark for comparing the overall value of players is called efficiency. It is a composite basketball statistic that is derived from basic individual statistics: points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, and shot attempts. LNB Pro A
The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The winner of the play-offs of the Pro A is crowned the French national champion. Competition format All 16 Pro A League teams play each other twice during the regular season. At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams qualify for the playoffs. The two teams with the worst regular season records are relegated to the 2nd-tier Pro B.
