Léo Rossi
Léo Rossi (born 25 December 1999) is a French badminton player. He was a part of the French junior team that won the mixed team gold at the 2017 European Junior Championships. He won his first international title at the 2017 Lithuanian International tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Elias Bracke of Belgium. He also won is first international title at the 2018 Irish International tournament in the men's single event beating top 80 players. His brother, Rémi Rossi, also plays badminton and represented Tahiti in the international tournament. Grasse, France
Grasse (; Provençal oc, Grassa in classical norm or in Mistralian norm ; traditional it, Grassa) is the only subprefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region on the French Riviera. In 2017, the commune had a population of 50,396. Considered the world's capital of perfume, Grasse obtained two flowers in the ''Concours des villes et villages fleuris'' and was made ''Ville d'Art et d'Histoire'' (City of Art and History). Festivals There is an annual ''Fête du Jasmin'' or ''La Jasminade'', at the beginning of August. The first festival was on August 3–4, 1946. Decorated floats drive through the town, with young women in skimpy costumes on board, throwing flowers into the crowd. Garlands of jasmine decorate the town center, and the fire department fills a fire truck with jasmine-infused water to spray on the crowds. Toma Junior Popov
Toma Junior Popov (born 29 September 1998) is a French badminton player. He won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the boys' singles event. Popov made history as the first non-Danish male player to win a European Junior team gold as well as the men's singles and doubles in 2017. He joined Peter Gade, Jim Laugesen, and Thomas Stuer-Lauridsen as the only men to have ever completed the treble. He competed at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and claimed the men's singles bronze medal. Personal life Born in Sofia, Popov came from a badminton family. His father, Thomas, is a former Bulgarian and French national player. His brother, Christo Popov, also plays badminton. Both of them trained at the Fos-sur-Mer club. Rahmat Hidayat (born 17 June 2003) is an Indonesian badminton player who is affiliated with the Djarum club. Career 2020–2021 Together with Rayhan Fadillah, they won their first junior tournament at the Dutch Junior International Grand Prix in 2020 after beating junior rivals Junaidi Arif and Muhammad Haikal. In that same year, Hidayat and Fadillah were also runners-up at the German Junior International, losing in the finals to their opponents whom they previously beaten in the Dutch Junior. Muhammad Rayhan Nur Fadillah (born 6 May 2004) is an Indonesian badminton player who is affiliated with the Djarum club. He was part of Indonesia team that won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Junior Championships. Wojciech Szkudlarczyk (born 8 January 1986 in Poznań) is a Polish badminton player. Career Wojciech Szklarczyk won in 2004 and 2005, three junior titles in Poland. Irish Open (badminton)
The Irish International or Irish Open in badminton is an international open held in Ireland since 1902 and is thereby one of the oldest badminton tournaments in the world. It was however interrupted by the two World Wars. This tournament is currently a part of the European Badminton Circuit and takes place at the end of November every year as part of the home nations loop of international tournaments that include the Scottish Open and the Welsh Open in consecutive weeks. The tournament for most part and in recent years has been an International Challenge rated event. The recent exception was in 2012, 2017 & 2018 when the tournament was downgraded to International Series due to funding. Recent editions have been held in the Baldoyle Badminton Centre except for 2007 and 2011 tournaments which were held in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
