Léo Condé
Leonardo Rodrigues Condé (born 21 April 1978), known as Léo Condé, is a Brazilian football coach, currently in charge of Vitória. Career Born in Piau, Condé moved to Juiz de Fora, both in the Minas Gerais state, at the age of six. In 1996, aged 22, he started his career training the youth sides of Tupi, and worked at the club until 2001 when he received an invitation from América Mineiro. In February 2005, Condé became an interim head coach of América's first team, replacing sacked Pintado. He led the club on eight matches before returning to his previous role, and moved to the youth sides of Atlético Mineiro in the following year. On 16 March 2009, Condé became a head coach for the first time in his career, replacing José Carlos Amaral at the helm of his first club Tupi. Piau
Piau is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the states of Brazil, state of Minas Gerais in the Southeast Region, Brazil, Southeast region of Brazil. History At the end of the eighteenth century, those who had been involved in the Inconfidência Mineira were heavily persecuted by the Portuguese Crown. These men (among them was Francisco José da Silva, uncle of Tiradentes) became fugitives searching for new places to make a new life. The place they found was set in a vast forest by a river which rises in the Serra da Mantiqueira. The settlers gave this river the name of Rio Piau because of a large amount of fish of this species (leporinus piau?). Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state. Copa Rio (state Cup)
The Copa Rio ( en, Rio Cup) was founded in 1991 by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation to decide one of the Rio de Janeiro's Copa do Brasil representatives of the following year (the other being the Campeonato Carioca champion). If the state champion had also won Copa Rio, the representative would have been the tournament runner-up. However, in 1995 the Brazilian Football Confederation established the possibility of a club being invited to dispute Copa do Brasil, and, as a consequence of this, Copa Rio ended up not being interesting for the big teams, so it was discontinued. In 1996 and 1997, the competition was replaced by a similar competition disputed only by Rio de Janeiro state countryside clubs, commonly known as Copa do Interior (Portuguese for ''Countryside Cup''). Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it will be reduced to 64 clubs. Luís Carlos de Oliveira Preto (born 17 September 1965), commonly known as Pintado, is a Brazilian football coach and former player who played as a defensive midfielder. He is the current head coach of Ponte Preta. Playing career Born in Bragança Paulista, São Paulo, Pintado started his career with hometown side Bragantino in 1983. He left the club in the following year after having unpaid wages, and spent a 45-day trial at Palmeiras before signing for São Paulo.
