Lélia Pissarro
Lélia Pissarro (Lélia Olga Sabine Edwige Pissarro) was born 27 July 1963 in Paris, France and is a contemporary French artist and gallery owner who lives and works in London. She is the great-granddaughter of Camille Pissarro. Early life in France Lélia Pissarro is the third and youngest child of the artist Hugues Claude Pissarro and his first wife Katia, an art dealer. Until the age of 11 Lélia grew up in the care of her paternal grandparents Paul-Émile Pissarro and his wife Yvonne in the small Calvados farming hamlet of Clécy where she also lived with her brother Joachim Pissarro, an art historian. The middle sibling, Lionel Pissarro was raised in their parent's household. Jacob Abraham Camille Pissarro ( , ; 10 July 1830 – 13 November 1903) was a Danish-French Impressionist and Neo-Impressionist painter born on the island of Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, St Thomas (now in the US Virgin Islands, but then in the Danish West Indies). His importance resides in his contributions to both Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Pissarro studied from great forerunners, including Gustave Courbet and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot. Hugues Claude Pissarro
Hugues Claude Pissarro (born 1935) is a French painter. He is alternately known as Hugues Claude Pissarro, H. Claude Pissarro, and professionally as Isaac Pomié or Hugues Pissarro dit Pomié. His work has been featured in exhibitions in Europe and the United States, and he was commissioned by the White House in 1959 to paint a portrait of U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower. Pissarro's work has evolved through a variety of different styles and techniques, from abstract to avant-garde. In 1989, he began a series of contemporary landscapes which were signed "Isaac Pomié" in order to distinguish them from his traditional works. Félix Pissarro
Félix Pissarro (also known by the pseudonym Jean Roch; 24 July 1874 – 29 November 1897) was a nineteenth-century French painter, etcher and caricaturist. Known as Titi in his family circle, he was the third son of the painter Camille and Julie Pissarro. Life He was born in Pontoise, Paris, in the year of the first Impressionist exhibition. Like his siblings Lucien and Georges, he spent his formative years surrounded by his father's fellow artists such as Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir who frequented the Pissarro home. Félix's works very early demonstrated great strength and originality. His father regarded him as the most promising of his sons but before he was able to realise his full potential, he contracted tuberculosis and died in a sanatorium at 262 Kew Road, Kew (which is now in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames), at the age of 23. Georges Henri Manzana Pissarro (1871–1961) was a French artist who worked in Impressionist and Post-Impressionist styles. He was also a designer of textiles, decorative objects, furniture and glassware. Biography Georges Henri Manzana Pissarro was born in 1871 in France, at Louveciennes, the third child of Impressionist artist Camille Pissarro. Lucien Pissarro
Lucien Pissarro (20 February 1863 – 10 July 1944) was a landscape painter, printmaker, wood engraver and designer and printer of fine books. His landscape paintings employ techniques of Impressionism and Neo-Impressionism, but he also exhibited with Les XX. Apart from his landscapes he painted a few still lifes and family portraits.
