Långängen
Långängen is a residential area in Stocksund in Danderyd Municipality in Sweden. It used to have service by a tramway connected to Stocksund railway station at Roslagsbanan but is now serviced with busses instead. Långängen was an important site for the early Swedish movie industry, with Skandiafilm's studio situated there in the early 20th century. Roslagsbanan
Roslagsbanan is a narrow gauge commuter railway system in Roslagen, Stockholm County, Sweden. Its combined route length is and there are 38 stations. It is built to the Swedish three foot () gauge. The Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) classifies it as "light rail" in its maps. The line starts in Stockholm at Stockholm East Station (Stockholms östra station, Stockholm Ö). It goes north and splits into three branch lines at the junction stations Djursholms Ösby and Roslags Näsby; the three branches terminate at Näsbypark, Österskär and Kårsta. It is double track between Stockholm and Viggbyholm and between Rydbo and Åkersberga. The rest is single track, but the line to Vallentuna was being doubled in 2012 and Rydbo-Åkers Runö in 2013. Stocksund
Stocksund () is an upper class suburb in Metropolitan Stockholm, Sweden. Located immediately across the Edsviken and Stocksundet from Bergshamra, Stocksund is one of four parts of Danderyd Municipality north of Stockholm, which is the most affluent municipality of Sweden. Average real estate prices for houses are the highest in Sweden, similar to the neighbouring Djursholm. It was the site of the Stocksund Studios film and television studios based in a former power station. ''Glenstudio'', where the group ABBA recorded the album ''ABBA'', is located in Långängen, a part of Stocksund. Stocksund Railway Station
Stocksund railway station, ''Stocksunds station'', is a railway station at Roslagsbanan, serving Stocksund in Danderyd Municipality, a bit north of Stockholm. Stocksund station is now a simple railway stop, where only the trains on the way between Stockholm East Station and Näsbypark stops. It is situated 4.6 km from Stockholm East Station. History The original Stocksund station was situated some hundred metres to the south east of the present one and was opened shortly after the inauguration of Roslagsbanan. The station building there was built in 1904. Sigge Cronstedt was the architect for this and other station buildings along Roslagsbanan. Stocksund station used to be a junction, connecting the railway to a short standard gauge tram line through Stocksund, the so-called Långängsbanan terminating at Långängen, and there were also tracks to the Stocksund harbour, which was just nearby the railway station. Danderyd Municipality
Danderyd Municipality (''Danderyds kommun''; ) is a municipality north of Stockholm in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. It is one of the smallest municipalities of Sweden, but the most affluent. Its seat is located in Djursholm and it is located within Stockholm urban area. The "old" rural municipality Danderyd was split up during the early 20th century, when Djursholm and Stocksund broke away in 1901 and 1910 respectively. Since 1971 Danderyd Municipality is reunified in approximately the old boundaries. The population in 2019 was 32,857. The four districts making up Danderyd are: Danderyd, Djursholm, Stocksund and Enebyberg.
