Lázaro Ramos
Luís Lázaro Sacramento Ramos (born November 1, 1978) is a prolific Brazilian actor, television presenter, director, writer, and voice actor. He started his acting career with the Flock of Olodum Theater group, in Salvador, and is best known for his portrayal of João Francisco dos Santos in the 2002 film ''Madame Satã''. Ramos is married to Brazilian actress Taís Araújo. In 2007, he was nominated for the 35th International Emmy Awards for Best Actor for his role in ''Cobras & Lagartos''. ''Carandiru'' is a 2003 Brazilian drama film directed by Héctor Babenco. It is based on the book '' Estação Carandiru'' by Dr. Drauzio Varella, a physician and AIDS specialist, who is portrayed in the film by Luiz Carlos Vasconcelos. ''Carandiru'' tells some of the stories that occurred in Carandiru Penitentiary, which was the biggest prison in Latin America. Madame Satã was the artistic name of João Francisco dos Santos (1900–1976), a drag performer and capoeirista from Brazil.
