David Lyttle
David Lyttle (born 21 June 1984) is a jazz drummer, hip hop producer, composer and record label owner from Waringstown, Northern Ireland. He has released four solo albums and received nominations in the MOBO Awards and Urban Music Awards. Performing career Lyttle began performing under the direction of his parents with the Lyttle Family and in his teens was active as a drummer, DJ and studied classical cello. He began his jazz career in the band of Louis Stewart in 2007 and released his debut album ''True Story'' the same year. He has featured notable jazz artists in his groups, including Kurt Rosenwinkel, Seamus Blake, Terell Stafford, Greg Osby, Jean Toussaint and Tim Warfield, and appeared in the groups of Jesse van Ruller, David Kikoski and Soweto Kinch. An independent record label (or indie label) is a record label that operates without the funding or distribution of major record labels; they are a type of small- to medium-sized enterprise, or SME. The labels and artists are often represented by trade associations in their country or region, which in turn are represented by the international trade body, the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN). Tom Harrison (musician)
Tom Harrison (born July 25, 1985) is a British alto saxophonist and flautist who has been active on the British jazz scene since 2009. Harrison reached a national audience following the release of his band Dagda's self-titled debut album in 2012, which was accompanied by a UK tour. The live group featured American tenor saxophonist Jean Toussaint and was well received by the media, described by ''Time Out'' magazine as "guitar sax-led melodic modern jazz with a poppy/rocky edge". Harrison released his second album ''Unfolding in Tempo'' in 2016. The album features Robert Mitchell, David Lyttle, Daniel Casimir and Cleveland Watkiss. It was recorded live during a short UK tour earlier that year, which received a large amount of attention from the media, including a feature on BBC News. Nigel Mooney
Nigel Mooney (born 12 August 1963) is a blues and jazz singer, guitarist, and songwriter from Ireland. He came to prominence on the Irish blues scene in the 1980s with his Gripewater Blues Band, which opened for B.B. King and backed Dr John in Dublin. In the 1990s Mooney and his band switched to an acoustic jazz sound. His debut album ''All My Love's in Vain'' was Ireland's top selling jazz album in 2005. In 2013 he released ''The Bohemian Mooney'', featuring Georgie Fame and many leading Irish jazz musicians. It was named RTÉ Radio 1's album of the week in April 2013 and Mooney appeared on RTÉ's ''The Late Late Show'' the following month. Jason Rebello
Jason Matthew Rebello (born 29 March 1969) is a British pianist, songwriter, and record producer. Career Rebello was born in Carshalton, Surrey. His father's family is from India. Rebello was raised a Catholic in Wandsworth, London. He was classically trained beginning at the age of 19 at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He emerged in the late 1980s as a jazz pianist influenced by Herbie Hancock and McCoy Tyner. In his early 20s he recorded three solo albums, beginning with his debut album ''A Clearer View'' (1990), which was produced by Wayne Shorter and led to him appearing on the cover of ''The Wire'' magazine. He also worked with Jean Toussaint, Tommy Smith, and Branford Marsalis, and presented '' Artrageous!'' on BBC television. Jean Toussaint
Jean Toussaint (born July 27, 1960) is an American jazz tenor and soprano saxophonist. Life and career Toussaint was born in Aruba, Dutch Antilles, and was raised in Saint Thomas and New York City. He learned to play calypso as a child and attended Berklee College of Music in the late 1970s, studying under Bill Pierce (saxophonist). In 1979 he formed a group with Wallace Roney and from 1982 to 1986 was a member of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers alongside Terence Blanchard, Donald Harrison, Mulgrew Miller and Lonnie Plaxico. With Blakey he recorded three studio albums, including '' New York Scene'', which won a Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance. Andreas Varady (born 24 July 1997) is a Slovak Hungarian jazz guitarist managed by Quincy Jones. Regarded as a child prodigy, he has been influenced by guitarists Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery, and George Benson and has been performing internationally since the age of thirteen. Biography Andreas Varady was born in Slovakia into a Hungarian Romani family. He began learning guitar at the age of four under the direction of his father, Bandi. In 2007, his family moved to Limerick, Ireland and after two years of busking in Limerick and Cork, he met Irish drummer and producer David Lyttle after writing to him on YouTube. Lyttle began featuring him in his band and in 2010 produced Varady's debut album ''Questions'' for Lyte Records. Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime.
