Lysa Aya Trenier
Lysa Aya Trenier, also known simply as Aya, is a British singer-songwriter and actress. She most notably is associated with the Naked Music recording label. She is of Singaporean/Irish/ Scottish descent. After growing up in London, she moved to New York City at the age of 18 to focus on her growth as an artist. There she collaborated with Lenny Kravitz, The Pharcyde and Stuart Matthewman. Aya was signed to the Naked Music label after meeting and collaborating with Jay Denes (the mastermind behind Blue Six, and co-founder of Naked Music). Downtempo (or downbeat) is a broad label for electronic music that features an atmospheric sound and slower beats than would typically be found in dance music. Closely related to ambient music but with greater emphasis on rhythm, the style may be played in chillout clubs or as "warm-up or cool-down" music during a DJ set.
