Lynx Entertainment is a Ghanaian people, Ghanaian record label founded in 2006 by the producer and singer-songwriter Richie Mensah. The label successfully launched the solo careers of the Ghanaian musicians Richie Mensah, Richie, ASEM, Irene Logan, OJ Blaq, Eazzy, Zigi, Jayla, MzVee, KiDi (musician), KiDi, Kuami Eugene and DopeNation. Lynx Entertainment has also produced hit singles for several Ghanaian artistes including Tinny, Okyeame Kwame, VIP, Praye, Bradez, Irene and Jane, Obour, Becca (Ghanaian singer), Becca, Reggie Rockstone, Efya, Trigmatic, Sonni Balli, EL, Jael Wiafe, Ayigbe Edem, Edem and Iwan (musician), Iwan. Okyeame Kwame
Kwame Nsiah-Apau (born 17 April 1976), known by his stage name Okyeame Kwame and nicknamed Rap Doctor, is a Ghanaian musician, songwriter, creative director and entrepreneur. Life and career Early life Apau was born in Kumasi, Ashanti Region of Ghana. He is the third of six siblings. Irene Logan (born February 16, 1984) is a Liberian-born Ghanaian singer, songwriter, philanthropist and entrepreneur. She was just a child in the early 1990s when her family moved to Ghana in search of refuge from the Liberian civil war. Irene broke out onto the music scene in 2006 where she won the maiden edition of "Stars of the Future". Ephraim Kɔku Amu (13 September 1899 – 2 January 1995) was a Ghanaian composer, musicologist and teacher. Biography Early life and education He was born on 13 September 1899 at Peki-Avetile (also called Abenase) in the Peki Traditional Area of the Volta Region and as a male child born on a Wednesday was called Kɔku. His father was Stephen Amuyaa, a wood carver who was popularly called Papa Stefano. His mother was Sarah Akoram Ama. Ephraim Kɔku Amu was baptised by the Rev. Rudolf Mallet on 22 October 1899. Denning Edem Hotor is a Ghanaian recording artist and entertainer who performs under the name Edem. In 2015, he was awarded Best International Act-Africa at the Black Canadian Awards in Canada. Reggie Rockstone (Reginald Yaw Asante Ossei, "the Godfather of Hiplife") is a Ghanaian rapper. He was born in the United Kingdom but lived his early years in Kumasi and Accra. He has been living in Ghana continuously since he pioneered the Hip-Life movement in 1994. He pioneered the Hiplife art and has played an important role in the development of this uniquely African genre in Ghana. He raps in Akan precisely Asante Twi and English. In 2004, Rockstone won the Kora Award for the best African video and he performed in front of a 50,000-person crowd in Ghana, together with Shaggy.
