Lynwood Theatre
The Lynwood Theatre is a movie-house in Bainbridge Island, Kitsap County, Washington. The theater specializes in showcasing independent and foreign films. History Lynwood Theatre opened on July 3, 1936. It was the first theatre on Bainbridge Island to show " talkies" as ''She couldn't take it'' and ''Times Square Playboy''. The founders of the Lynwood Theatre, Edna and Emmanuel Olson, wanted to provide a modern alternative to the silent-picture cinemas which existed on Bainbridge Island in 1936. Operating with only one screen, the Lynwood Theatre shows independent and foreign films which rarely get played at large, mainstream multiplexes. Celluloid Bainbridge Film Festival was held there in 2017, and the Wildcat Movie premiere was held in 2022. Bainbridge Island (Washington)
Bainbridge Island is a city and island in Kitsap County, Washington. It is located in Puget Sound. The population was 23,025 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census and an estimated 25,298 in 2019, making Bainbridge Island the second largest city in Kitsap County. The island is separated from the Kitsap Peninsula by Port Orchard, with Bremerton, Washington, Bremerton lying to the southwest. Kitsap County is located in the U.S. state of Washington. As of the 2020 census, its population was 275,611. Its county seat is Port Orchard, and its largest city is Bremerton. The county was formed out of King County and Jefferson County on January 16, 1857, and is named for Chief Kitsap of the Suquamish Tribe. Originally named Slaughter County, it was soon renamed. Sound Film
A sound film is a motion picture with synchronized sound, or sound technologically coupled to image, as opposed to a silent film. The first known public exhibition of projected sound films took place in Paris in 1900, but decades passed before sound motion pictures became commercially practical. Reliable synchronization was difficult to achieve with the early sound-on-disc systems, and amplification and recording quality were also inadequate. Innovations in sound-on-film led to the first commercial screening of short motion pictures using the technology, which took place in 1923. The primary steps in the commercialization of sound cinema were taken in the mid-to-late 1920s. Christopher Lee Kattan () (born October 19, 1970) is an American actor and comedian. He was a cast member on ''Saturday Night Live'' from 1996 to 2003. He played Doug Butabi in '' A Night at the Roxbury'', Bob on the first four seasons of '' The Middle'' and Bunnicula in ''Bunnicula''. Early life Kattan was born in Culver City, California. Derek Sheen is a stand-up comedian from Seattle. He has released four albums on Stand Up! Records, most recently 2020's ''Macho Caballero''. Reviewer Richard Lanoie of The Serious Comedy Site said that Sheen "more than proves there are still some great, original, and intelligently dark comics out there." Daniel Berkowitz of website The Spit Take called Sheen "a hilarious and gifted performer" with "a unique voice that he’s able to expertly harness."
