Lynn Geisler
Lynn Geisler is a dirt late model driver from Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania who is a member of the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame. He has won over 200 late model races over a racing career spanning four decades. Mr. Geisler has been driving dirt late models in Western Pennsylvania since 1981. In 2011, Mr. Geisler raced at his two home tracks: Lernerville Speedway and PPMS. Racing career Lynn Geisler won at least one race a year at Lernerville Speedway from 1982 to 2006, and won 10 features in the 1993 season. He also won five track championships at Lernerville in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 2006. In total, Geisler has won 108 features at Lernerville and 67 features at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. He has also won six track championships at Pittsburgh. Cranberry Township is a municipality in Butler County, Pennsylvania. The population was 33,096 as of the 2020 census. Cranberry Township is one of the fastest-growing areas of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. History In 1753, George Washington, then 21, was working for the Virginia Colony's British governor and hiked through what is now Cranberry Township along the Venango Path. His assignment was to deliver a message to the commander of the rival French Fort LeBoeuf that ordered the French to withdraw from northern Pennsylvania. National Dirt Late Model Hall Of Fame
The National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame is a non-profit hall of fame for American drivers of dirt late model racecars. It is located on the grounds of Florence Speedway in Walton, Kentucky. History During 2001 while conversing with a group of people involved in the sport, longtime motorsports journalist Bill Holder decided to create the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame. The first induction ceremony took place later in August at Florence Speedway during their annual NORTH-SOUTH 100. Induction process Within the NDLMHOF, there are three types of inductees, each of which contributes to the sport in a different manner. The types are Drivers, Contributors, and the Sportsman Award. Lernerville Speedway
Lernerville Speedway is a 4/10 mile dirt oval automobile race track located in Sarver, Pennsylvania, United States. It is currently owned by Tomson Scrap Metal. Lernerville currently hosts the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series. 2022 will mark the 55th season for the track. The track features the "Fab 4" divisions weekly on Fridays from mid April through August. These divisions include the "Big Three"- 410 Sprints, Super Late Models, and Big Block Modifieds, and is the only track in the country to run all three on a weekly basis. Travis Geisler
Travis Geisler (born November 8, 1980) is an American professional stock car racing team executive, crew chief, and former driver. He is currently the competition director for Team Penske. He previously was a crew chief for Penske on their No. 77 Dodge driven by Sam Hornish Jr. from partway through 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, he was a driver, competing in the NASCAR Busch Series (now Xfinity) in 2004 for the No. 36 DCT Motorsports team. Ryan Newman (racing Driver)
Ryan Joseph Newman (born December 8, 1977), nicknamed "Rocket Man", is an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes full time in the SRX Camping World Series driving the No. 39. He last competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 6 Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing, as well as part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 39 Ford F-150 for DCC Racing. Samuel Jon Hornish Jr. (born July 2, 1979) is an American semi-retired professional auto racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 22 Ford Mustang for Team Penske in 2017. He began his top-tier racing career in the IndyCar Series, making his driving debut during the 2000 Indy Racing League season, 2000 season for PDM Racing.
