Tahli Gill
Tahli Gill (born 8 September 1999) is an Australian curler who resides in Brisbane. She currently skips her own team and plays mixed doubles with partner Dean Hewitt. Career Gill started curling at age 11. Her mother Lynette is also a curler, as well as Tahli's sisters Kirby and Jayna. The four Gills sometimes play together, such as when they, along with Laurie Weeden, won the 2018 Australian Women's Championship. They then represented Australia at the 2018 Pacific-Asia Championship, where they finished in sixth place out of the seven teams. At the 2019 World Mixed Doubles Championship, Gill and her teammate Dean Hewitt made it to the semifinals before being eliminated by Sweden's Anna Hasselborg and Oskar Eriksson. In the bronze medal match, they again lost to John Shuster and Cory Christensen from the United States. The 2012 Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships were held from January 27 to February 2 in Jeonju City, South Korea. Pacific Junior Curling Championships
The Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships (formerly known as the Pacific Junior Curling Championships) was an annual curling bonspiel held in the World Curling Federation's Pacific zone. The championships featured curlers under the age of 21 competing to qualify for a spot in the World Junior Curling Championships. Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea have participated in past championships. Jay Merchant (born 16 May 1982) is an Australian curler and curling coach originally from Canada. Personal life Merchant was born and grew up in Coronation, Alberta, Canada. His father, Archie curled in national oilman's competitions and his mom and older brother curled as well. After highschool, Merchant attended the University of Lethbridge where he studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He spent the majority of his time working in oil and gas as a labourer and then became an executive with M&N Construction in between his studies. He was a member of then Member of Parliament Rick Casson's steering committee and curled out of the Lethbridge Curling Club. He played juniors in Alberta and made it to provincials a number of times. In 2003 he played for University of Lethbridge at the CIS/CCA Curling Championships; they were in the top five. Ali Cameron
ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 CE) was the last of four Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam (r. 656 – 661) immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam. James Edward Hansen (born March 29, 1942) is an American adjunct professor directing the Program on Climate Science, Awareness and Solutions of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. He is best known for his research in climatology, his 1988 Congressional testimony on climate change that helped raise broad awareness of global warming, and his advocacy of action to avoid dangerous climate change. In recent years he has become a climate activist to mitigate the effects of global warming, on a few occasions leading to his arrest.
