Lynda Wiesmeier
Lynda Ann Wiesmeier (pronounced WEES-myer, May 30, 1963 – December 16, 2012) was an American model and actress. She made her film debut in ''American Pop''. Wiesmeier was selected as both cover model and Playmate of the Month for the July 1982 issue of ''Playboy'' magazine, and her centerfold was photographed by Richard Fegley. Wiesmeier also appeared in several ''Playboy'' newsstand special editions and videos, and worked steadily for ''Playboy'' for more than five years after she graced the magazine's fold-out page, first as a nude glamour and pin-up model, and then as a promotional model and a feature reporter for the Playboy Channel. She died at age 49 in December 2012 due to a brain tumor. Playboy TV (originally The Playboy Channel) is a pay television channel based in the United States. History The channel first launched on December 9, 1980, as Escapade by AMC Networks, Rainbow Programing Services (a joint-venture of four cable companies, led by Cablevision). At launch, Escapade aired mostly R rating (Motion Picture Association of America), R rated B movies. The channel aired five nights a week from 9 PM to 4 or 6 AM, Tuesday through Saturday. Sunday and Monday nights were reserved for Rainbow's other new channel Bravo (American TV network), Bravo. The satellite time the two networks used was subleased from National Christian Network. By July 1981, the service expanded to seven nights a week.
