Lynchburg-Kemper Street Station (Virginia)
Kemper Street station, also known as Lynchburg station, is an intermodal transit station in Lynchburg, Virginia, United States. It serves Amtrak while an adjacent bus transfer center serves Greater Lynchburg Transit Company and Greyhound buses. Kemper Street Station is located at 825 Kemper Street. History Kemper Street station was built in 1912 by the Southern Railway to house their passenger and freight operations in the Lynchburg area. A three-story structure built into a hillside, the top floor fronts Kemper Street while on the opposite side the track level ground floor fronts the rail platforms. Originally included but later removed was an elevated walkway extending from a street level passenger lobby across the tracks. Stairs descended from the walkway to the platforms, two stories below. Night Owl (train)
The ''Night Owl'' was a passenger train operated by Amtrak on the Northeast Corridor between Washington, D.C., and Boston, Massachusetts, via New York City. It operated from 1972 to 1995 on an overnight schedule with sleeper service; it was the only such train on the Northeast Corridor. In 1995 Amtrak dropped most individual train names from its Northeast Corridor services and the ''Night Owl'' became another ''NortheastDirect'' service, but still on an overnight schedule. Roanoke station is a train station in Roanoke, Virginia, the current terminus of Amtrak's ''Northeast Regional'' line. Built in 2017, it follows several other Roanoke passenger stations that operated from the 1850s to 1979. New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal
New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal (NOUPT) is an intermodal facility in New Orleans, Louisiana, US. Located at 1001 Loyola Avenue, it is served by Amtrak, Greyhound Lines, Megabus, and NORTA with direct connections to the Rampart–St. Claude Streetcar Line. The station is the major southern terminus hub for Amtrak, serving three long-distance trains, the ''City of New Orleans,'' the ''Crescent,'' and the ''Sunset Limited.''
