Lyla Foy
Lyla Foy (aka Wall) is an English, London-based songwriter and solo artist. She has shared stages with The National, Sharon Van Etten, Midlake, Phosphorescent, and Fleet Foxes. Lyla also sings and plays bass with psychedelic six-piece, Mono Club, fronted by Goldheart Assembly's John Herbert. 2012: "Magazine" Foy released her debut single "Magazine" in September 2012 under her band's name, Wall. Michael Cragg of ''The Guardian'' said of Foy, "You get the sense that even a whisper could overpower her soft coo of a voice." 2013: ''Shoestring'' and "Easy" In March 2013, Foy released her debut EP ''Shoestring'', named after the title track of the same name. The National (band)
The National is an American rock band of Cincinnati, Ohio natives, formed in Brooklyn, New York City in 1999. The band consists of Matt Berninger (vocals), twin brothers Aaron Dessner (guitar, piano, keyboards) and Bryce Dessner (guitar, piano, keyboards), as well as brothers Scott Devendorf (bass) and Bryan Devendorf (drums). Carin Besser is not a band member, but has written lyrics for the band alongside her husband, Berninger, since its 2007 album ''Boxer''. Sharon Katharine Van Etten (born February 26, 1981) is an American singer-songwriter. She has released six studio albums, the latest of which is '' We've Been Going About This All Wrong'' (2022). Early life Van Etten was born in Belleville, New Jersey, the middle child of five. She lived in Nutley, New Jersey, then moved to Clinton, New Jersey as a pre-teen. She attended North Hunterdon High School, at which she participated in the chorus and performed in stage musicals.
