Lycée Claude-Bernard
The lycée Claude-Bernard is a French public school opened in 1938, both a collège and a lycée. It is located at 1, avenue du Parc-des-Princes in Paris, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, and bears the name of French doctor Claude Bernard (1813–1878). History At the beginning of the 1930s, a programme was launched for the south of the 16th arrondissement to build a new lycée for boys, and also a new one for girls (the latter being the Lycée La Fontaine (Paris)). François Baroin
François Claude Pierre René Baroin (born 21 June 1965) is a French politician and lawyer who served as Finance Minister from 2011 to 2012, following a stint as Budget Minister in the government of Prime Minister François Fillon. A member of The Republicans (LR), he was a long-time ally of Jacques Chirac and has been Mayor of Troyes in Champagne since 1995. Early life and education Baroin was born in the 12th arrondissement of Paris to an upper-class family. His father Michel Baroin was a student friend of Chirac’s who went on to become a leading freemason, chairman of retailer Fnac and the insurer GMF, and a powerful local politician. Julien Gracq
Julien Gracq (; 27 July 1910 – 22 December 2007; born Louis Poirier in Saint-Florent-le-Vieil, in the French ''département'' of Maine-et-Loire) was a French writer. He wrote novels, critiques, a play, and poetry. His literary works were noted for their dreamlike abstraction, elegant style and refined vocabulary. He was close to the surrealist movement, in particular its leader André Breton. Life Gracq first studied in Paris at the ''Lycée Henri IV'', where he earned his baccalauréat. He then entered the École Normale Supérieure in 1930, later studying at the ''École libre des sciences politiques'' (Sciences Po.), both schools of the University of Paris at the time. In 1932, he read André Breton's ''Nadja'', which deeply influenced him. His first novel, ''The Castle of Argol'', is dedicated to that surrealist writer, to whom he devoted a whole book in 1948. Michel Deguy
Michel Deguy (23 May 1930 – 16 February 2022) was a French poet and translator. Biography Deguy was born in Paris on 23 May 1930. He taught French literature at the Universite de Paris VIII (Saint-Denis) for many years. He also served as director of the French literary journal '' Po&sie'', and as editor of ''Les Temps Modernes'', the literary journal founded by Jean-Paul Sartre. As a translator, he translated Heidegger, Gongora, Sappho, Dante, and many others. He won the following prizes for his work: the Prix Mallarme, the Grand prix national de la poésie, the Prix Max Jacob, the Grand Prix de Poésie de l'Académie Française, the Prix Fénéon, and the Prix Joseph-Kessel. Deguy died in Paris on 16 February 2022, at the age of 91. The actress Marie-Armelle Deguy is his daughter. Mitra 15
The Mitra 15 is a minicomputer made by the French company Compagnie internationale pour l'informatique, CII under Plan Calcul, along with the Iris 50 and Iris 80 mainframe computers. It was marketed from 1971 to 1985 and could function in conjunction with large systems. CII manufactured a thousand Mitra 15 machines until 1975 in its Toulouse factory, then in Crolles in the suburbs of Grenoble. A total of 7,929 units were built, most of them for the French market, with a small number sold in Australia, Indonesia, and in other European countries.
