Lyari Expressway
Lyari Expressway ( ur, , sd, لیاری بزرگرہ) is a 38 km City Districts of Pakistan, city district Expressways of Pakistan, expressway constructed along the Lyari River in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. History The expressway was expected to be completed by August 2017, with a formal inauguration ceremony to be held on 14 August 2017. The project had been delayed for more than 15 years due to the lack of federal funding and no interest shown by the Sindh provincial Government. After the High Court deadline, Lyari Expressway completion date was finally announced. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi inaugurated the pending northbound track of expressway on 28 January 2018, which starts from Mauripur and end at Sohrab Goth Interchange. City District Government Karachi
The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) was a local government of Karachi, Pakistan. It was established through a local government ordinance (LGO) in 2000, which also established various other district governments in Pakistan. It was headed by the mayor and was formed under the presidential rule of Pervez Musharraf in 2001. CDGK existed until 2010. CDGK became a major authority in the city and was granted unprecedented power. Urban authority was emphasized and rural authority was disbanded. Kara Film Festival
The Karachi International Film Festival, simply known as the Kara Film Festival (Urdu: ''کارا فلم فیسٹیول'' or ''کارا فلم'') was founded in 2001 by the KaraFilm Society, reportedly in response to the declining state of the Pakistani film industry. The film festival was held annually until 2009. The 8th Kara Film Festival was supposed to be held in 2010 but has since been delayed every year due to the socio-economic problems that Karachi was facing. The goal of the festival was to "promote an appreciation of the art and craft of filmmaking among a wide population as well as to encourage creativity and high standards among filmmakers". The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a non-profit organization, and one of the largest privately owned networks of low-cost formal schools in Pakistan. The foundation operates a network of 1,833 school units, educating 280,000 students through over 13,000 teachers and principals, and over 17,400 employees. Baldia Town ( sd, بلدیا ٽائون , ur, ) lies in the western part of the city with a population of more than 830,000 as per the 2017 census. Baldia Town was formed in 2001 as part of The Local Government Ordinance 2001, and was subdivided into 8 Union councils of Pakistan, union councils. Taiser Town or ''Taiser Town Scheme-45'' ( ur, تیسر ٹاؤن ) is a neighborhood in Malir Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Hawke's Bay or Hawkesbay is a beach in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, located 20 km southwest of Karachi city. The beach is named after Bladen Wilmer Hawke, who owned a house on the beach during the 1930s. The beach is very popular, with hundreds of people visiting daily for swimming, camel and horse riding, and vacations. The M-9 motorway or the Karachi–Hyderabad motorway (Urdu: کراچی–حیدرآباد موٹروے) is a north–south motorway in the Sindh province of Pakistan, connecting Karachi to Hyderabad.
