Lyall Wall
John Craik Lyall Sydney Wall (25 October 1891 - 9 June 1969) was an Australian cricketer and rugby league footballer who represented New South Wales in both sports. Lyal wall Played for Balmain for 8 years Throughout 1 year he was with Annandale then Moved to Balmain for 8 years. Career Wall made his first grade rugby league debut with Balmain Tigers in 1912, had a brief season at Annandale in 1913 before returning to the Tigers until the end of season 1919. Lyall played fullback and centre throughout his league career, and was also a prolific goal kicker. By 1920, he left the Balmain district and turned out for the Western Suburbs Magpies for one season. A long-standing friendship with Herb Gilbert brought him to the St. George Dragons for the club's debut season in 1921, and played centre, wing and fullback for the Dragon's in their debut year. Birchgrove is a suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Birchgrove is located five kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Inner West Council. Birchgrove is located on the north-west slope of the Balmain peninsula, overlooking Sydney Harbour, and includes Yurulbin and Ballast Points. Balmain is the only adjacent suburb. The long waterfront provides views of the Parramatta River with Cockatoo Island dominating the foreground. It is one of the wealthier suburbs of Sydney thanks to its harbour frontages. New South Wales Cricket Team
The New South Wales men's cricket team (formerly named NSW Blues) are an Australian men's professional first class cricket team based in Sydney, New South Wales. The team competes in the Australian first class cricket competition known as the Sheffield Shield and the limited overs Marsh One-Day Cup. The team previously played in the now defunct Twenty20, Big Bash, which has since been replaced by the Big Bash League since the 2011–12 season.
