Luther E. Hall
Luther Egbert Hall (August 30, 1869 – November 6, 1921) was the 35th governor of Louisiana from 1912 to 1916. Prior to that, he was a state senator from 1898 to 1900, a state district judge from 1900 to 1906, and state appellate judge from 1906 to 1911. Before his death, he was assistant attorney general from 1918 to 1921. He built the historic Gov. Luther Hall House in Monroe, Louisiana in 1906. Northwestern State University
Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSU) is a public university primarily situated in Natchitoches, Louisiana, with a nursing campus in Shreveport and general campuses in Leesville/Fort Polk and Alexandria. It is a part of the University of Louisiana System. NSU was founded in 1884 as the Louisiana State Normal School. It was the first school in Louisiana to offer degree programs in nursing and business education. The 1912 Louisiana gubernatorial election was held on April 16, 1912. Like most Southern states between Reconstruction and the civil rights era, Louisiana's Republican Party had almost no electoral support. Natchitoches ( ; french: link=no, Les Natchitoches) is a small city and the parish seat of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, United States. Established in 1714 by Louis Juchereau de St. Denis as part of French Louisiana, the community was named after the indigenous Natchitoches people.
