Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat
Lutayan, officially the Municipality of Lutayan ( hil, Banwa sang Lutayan; tl, Bayan ng Lutayan; mdh, Inged nu Lutayan, Jawi Alphabet, Jawi: ايڠايد نو لوتين), is a 2nd class municipality of the Philippines, municipality in the Philippine Province, province of Sultan Kudarat, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 65,644 people. This lakeside town shares Lake Buluan with its neighboring municipality, Buluan, Maguindanao. Lutayan was carved out from Buluan in 1966. The first appointed mayor was the wife of the then-mayor of Buluan, a royalty from the Rajah Buayan Sultanate, Bai Linilang Mangelen. She was also the first ever elected Mayor of the town and served for two decades. Buluan, Maguindanao
Buluan, officially the Municipality of Buluan ( Maguindanaon: ''Inged nu Buluan''; tl, Bayan ng Buluan), is a 4th class municipality and capital of the province of Maguindanao del Sur, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 57,406 people. Lake Buluan is a lake located in the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. With an estimated surface area of , it is the third largest lake in Mindanao, after Lake Lanao and Lake Mainit.
