Lura Lynn Ryan (July 5, 1934 – June 27, 2011) was the First Lady of the U.S. state of Illinois from 1999 to 2003. She was the wife of former Illinois Governor George Ryan. Biography Early life Ryan was born Lura Lynn Lowe on July 5, 1934, in Aroma Park, Illinois to parents, Lawrence and Dorothea Lowe. Her father was the owner of a hybrid seed company, while her mother was a Kankakee County school trustee. Lowe was raised on a family farm near Aroma Park. Lowe met her future husband, George Ryan, while both were students in a freshman English class at Kankakee High School. Lowe mulled becoming a nurse following high school, but decided against that career path. She received a degree from the former Moser Business College. Lura Eugenie Brown Smith (June 23, 1854/64 – April 11, 1935) was an American journalist, newspaper editor, and author. She wrote short stories, poems, and miscellany, and did editorial work in newspapers. She was the author of ''Victory's Divorcement'' (with Alice French, 1891) and ''On the Track and Off the Train'' (1892), and the editor of ''The Autocrat of Arkansas'' (1883). Michael Lura
Michael R. Lura (24 August 1948 – 4 May 2004) was an American politician. Lura was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, on 24 August 1948, to parents Geahard R. Lura and Opal M. Herbert. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1966 and married Susan Revell the next year. The couple raised four children. Lura served in the United States Army for four years during the Vietnam War. He studied accounting at Columbus College and worked for the Mississippi Gaming Commission as well as the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission. Lura was a Republican precinct committeeman for four years before serving the Marshall County Republican Party as finance chair from 1977 to 1978. He contested the legislative elections in November 1978, and won election to the Iowa House of Representatives from District 39. The Olona (''Olona'' in Italian; ''Ulona'', ''Urona'' or ''Uòna'' in Western Lombard) is an Italian river belonging to the Po Basin, long, that runs through the Province of Varese and Metropolitan City of Milan whose course is developed entirely in Lombardy. The river born at 548 meters above sea level in the Fornaci della Riana locality at the Rasa of Varese, at the Sacro Monte di Varese, within the Campo dei Fiori regional park.
