Einar Lundborg
Einar Paul Albert Muni Lundborg (5 April 1896 – 27 January 1931) was a Swedish aviator. Biography He was born on 5 April 1896. In 1928 he rescued Umberto Nobile after Nobile's airship crashed on the ice north of Spitsbergen. He was later promoted to captain in the Swedish Air Force. Before joining the airforce, Lundborg participated in the Finnish Civil War in 1918 and in the Estonian War of Independence in 1919–1920. Lundborg was killed during a test flight of the Jaktfalken airplane at Malmslätt in 1931. He was survived by his wife Margareta, née Malmberg (1900–1981). He is buried in Linköping, Sweden. Florence Lundborg
Florence Lundborg (1871 – January 18, 1949) was an American illustrator, poster artist, and painter known for her book illustrations and wartime paintings. She was a member, with Gelett Burgess, of the San Francisco group "Les Jeunes", who published '' The Lark'' in the 1890s; Lundborg designed some of the covers. Lundborg spent the winter of 1899-1900 studying in Paris with James Abbott McNeill Whistler. She had previously studied in San Francisco with Arthur Mathews at the California School of Design. She was a co-founder and early member of the Book Club of California. Her murals were in the Tea Room of the California Building at the Panama Pacific International Exposition. She received a bronze medal for oil painting in the exposition. She received commissions to paint murals in private homes in Portland, Chicago, New York and San Francisco. Herman Bernhard Lundborg
Herman Bernhard Lundborg (April 7, 1868 in Väse in Värmland, Sweden – May 9, 1943 in Östhammar in Uppland, Sweden) was a Swedish physician and a race biologist. Biography He graduated in medicine at the Karolinska Institutet in 1895, and received his doctorate at the Uppsala University in 1903. He also habilitated there that year for psychiatry and neurology, and in 1915 for racial research and racial biology. For his doctoral dissertation, Lundborg researched one of the genetic progressive myoclonus epilepsies first described by Heinrich Unverricht in 1891. Besides giving an account of the disease, he traced an affected family back to the 18th century, an analysis unique for that time. He concluded that the family had genetically degenerated because of "unwise marriages". The study has been described as "of considerable historic interest in human genetics". Patrick Lundborg
Patrick Lundborg (1967 – June 7, 2014) was a writer on psychedelic culture and author of the books ''Psychedelia'' and ''The Acid Archives''. Lundborg had a Bachelor of Science degree in applied systems science ('datavetenskap' in Swedish) from Stockholm University, with additional studies in classic philosophy and the history of religion. Lundborg was an original member of the Lumber Island Acid Crew, a psychedelic artist collective which formed in Stockholm in the mid-1980s and remains active up to the present time. Works Essays and monographs With special focus on psychedelic music and culture, Lundborg wrote numerous magazine articles and CD liner notes within the field.
