Walerian Borowczyk (21 October 1923 – 3 February 2006) was an internationally known Polish film director described by film critics as a 'genius who also happened to be a pornographer'. He directed 40 films between 1946 and 1988. Borowczyk settled in Paris in 1959. ''Lulu'' is an eponymous album released by Lulu on Alfa Records in 1981. It is notable for containing the hit single " I Could Never Miss You (More Than I Do)", which became the second-highest-charting single of Lulu's career in the US, hitting the top 20 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1981. History Alfa Records released the album ''Lulu'' in August 1981, in response to the chart success of " I Could Never Miss You (More Than I Do)", originally contained on Lulu's 1978 album, '' Don't Take Love for Granted''. In addition to "I Could Never Miss You", ''Lulu'' featured two other songs from the 1978 album, being the title track, "Don't Take Love for Granted" and "You Are Still a Part of Me", all of which had been written by Neil Harrison. ''Lulu'' is a 1973 album by Scottish singer Lulu. It was her first album on Chelsea Records. Produced by American songwriter Wes Farrell, the lead single was "Make Believe World". It also included covers of "Groovin'", "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" and David Cassidy's "Could it Be Forever". The album failed to chart, although Lulu came back to prominence a few months later with the release of the hit single " The Man Who Sold the World". The single reached No.3 in the UK and became one of the singer's biggest hits, but was not included on this album. Although the album met with little chart success, reviews were good, with Allmusic retrospectively calling it "top class". The album was released on Polydor Records in Australia. ''Lulu'' ( it, Lulù) is a 1953 Italian drama film directed by Fernando Cerchio. Plot Mario, a student from a noble Milanese family, falls in love with Lulù, a young slender girl. While the student is at Lulu's house, her protector arrives and gives him the keys to the apartment. Mario, who had naively believed in Lulu's good faith, leaves the house upset. When she returns after some time, he no longer finds her than she does: she has left the apartment and returned to live with her parents, people of questionable principles, who suggest that their daughter pretend to be pregnant.
