Luke Phillips
Luke Phillips (born 4 August 1975) is an Australian professional rugby league football match official and former player. He started refereeing National Rugby League Premiership matches in 2010, having played seven seasons in the 1990s and 2000s as a goal-kicking for the Sydney Roosters (with whom he won the 2002 NRL Premiership), Canberra Raiders, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys. Playing career After playing for West Belconnen Warriors as a junior, Phillips made his first-grade debut for the Canberra Raiders in the 1996 ARL season against the Western Reds at the WACA Ground. He played for the North Queensland Cowboys during the 1997 Super League season. He spent his third year in the top grade at a third club after moving to the Manly Sea Eagles for in 1998. NRL Under-20s
The NRL Under-20s (known commercially as the Holden Cup due to sponsorship from Holden) was the top league of professional rugby league for players aged 20 years or younger in Australasia. Contested by sixteen teams, the Under-20s competition commenced in 2008 and was originally known as the Toyota Cup. The competition runs parallel to Australasia's professional competition, the National Rugby League, with NYC matches played immediately prior to the NRL games. Similar to the NRL, the NYC enforces a salary cap and puts a heavy focus on life outside football for the players. Central Coast Division Rugby League
The Central Coast Division of Country Rugby League is a rugby league competition based on the Central Coast of New South Wales between Sydney and Newcastle. It is currently ran by Terrigal Junior and longtime volunteer Ben Spackman he has been president for both Terrigal junior and senior clubs and has coached multiple teams throughout his years at the club. Spackman has been running the central coast competition for multiple years now and has made significant changes to the central coast competitions. It was founded in 1947 as a junior competition for the Newcastle club, Lakes United. In 1967, it was upgraded again to full membership of the Country Rugby League as Group 12. Phillip Ronald Gould (born 24 January 1958), also nicknamed "Gus", is an Australian rugby league broadcaster, journalist, administrator and formerly a player and coach. He works as the General Manager of Football for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the NRL. Background Gould was born in Sydney, New South Wales in January 1958. 2003 NRL Season
The 2003 NRL premiership was the 96th season of professional rugby league football in Australia and the sixth run by the National Rugby League. Fifteen teams competed, with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles returning in place of their failed joint-venture club, the Northern Eagles. 1994 Kangaroo Tour
The 1994 Kangaroo Tour was the 18th and last Kangaroo Tour played in the conventional format, where the Australia national rugby league team (known as the XXXX Kangaroos due to sponsorship reasons) played a number of matches against British and French clubs or provincial outfits, in additions to the Test matches. The outbreak of the Super League war in early 1995 meant that the next Kangaroo tour, set for 1998, never eventuated; although shortened, test only tours were staged in 2001 and 2003. Australia continued its dominance, winning both Test series against Great Britain and France, suffering only one loss (against Great Britain in the First Test at Wembley, just as they had done in 1990), and remained undefeated against British club outfits in a streak stretching back to the 1978 tour. Brett Mullins (born 21 January 1972) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s, and early 2000s. A New South Wales State of Origin and Australian international representative back, he played his club football for Australian clubs the Canberra Raiders and Sydney Roosters, and for English club, the Leeds Rhinos. He was described as "one of the most exciting attacking weapons in rugby league."
