Luiza Saidiyeva ( kk, Луиза Сайдиева; born March 17, 1994) is a Kazakh competitive archery, archer. She competed as a member of the Kazakh archery squad in major international tournaments, spanning the World Archery Championships, World Championships, Asian Archery Championships, Asian Championships, the 2014 Asian Games, and the 2016 Summer Olympics. Career Saidiyeva was selected to compete for Kazakhstan in the Archery at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's individual, women's individual recurve at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There, she discharged a score of 625 points, 9 perfect tens, and 3 bull's eyes to seal the thirty-sixth seed in the classification stage, but could not get past Ukraine's Anastasia Pavlova from the opening round, abruptly ending her Olympic debut in a severe 0–6 defeat. Anastasiia Vladyslavivna Pavlova ( uk, Анастасі́я Владисла́вівна Па́влова; born February 9, 1995) is a Ukrainian competitive archer. She has collected a career total of at least ten medals in major international competitions, spanning the World Indoor Championships, the European Games, the World Cup series, and the European Championships. Career Pavlova rose to prominence on the global archery scene at the 2014 World Indoor Championships in Nimes, France. There, she and her compatriots Lidiia Sichenikova and Veronika Marchenko powered past the German women (234–220) on a tactical 14-point advantage to capture the team recurve title (234–220). Recurve Bow
In archery, a recurve bow is one of the main shapes a bow can take, with limbs that curve away from the archer when unstrung. A recurve bow stores more energy and delivers energy more efficiently than the equivalent straight-limbed bow, giving a greater amount of energy and speed to the arrow. A recurve will permit a shorter bow than the simple straight limb bow for given arrow energy, and this form was often preferred by archers in environments where long weapons could be cumbersome, such as in brush and forest terrain, or while on horseback. Recurved limbs also put greater stress on the materials used to make the bow, and they may make more noise with the shot. Extreme recurves make the bow unstable when being strung.
