Luisa Wilson
Luisa Wilson San Román (born 5 August 2005) is a Mexican ice hockey player who plays in the U18 AA league (see junior ice hockey) of the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHL) with the North York Storm Prep U18 AA in the North York district of Toronto, Canada. Wilson won the gold medal with her team in the girls' girls' 3x3 mixed tournament at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne, Switzerland, on January 15, 2020, making her the first Mexican to do so. She also competed at the 2020 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship – Division II Group B where she won a bronze medal with the Mexican national under-18 team. Mixed-NOCs At The 2020 Winter Youth Olympics
Teams made up of athletes representing different National Olympic Committees (NOCs), called mixed-NOCs teams, participated in the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics. These teams participated in either events composed entirely of mixed-NOCs teams, or in events which saw the participation of mixed-NOCs teams ''and'' non-mixed-NOCs teams. When a mixed-NOCs team won a medal, the Olympic flag was raised rather than a national flag; if a mixed-NOCs team won gold, the Olympic anthem would be played instead of national anthems. A total of 6 events with Mixed NOCs were held. New Zealand Women's National Under-18 Ice Hockey Team
The New Zealand women's national under-18 ice hockey team is the women's national under-18 ice hockey team of New Zealand. The team is controlled by New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The team entered their first World Women's U18 Championship tournaments in 2020. History New Zealand played their first game on 6 December 2013 against Australia in Dunedin, tying 2–2. The game was part of a four-game series being held in Dunedin between two teams. New Zealand went on to win the remaining three games of the series, which included their largest recorded international win of 5–1 in the final game. On 30 May and 1 June 2014, New Zealand played two games against the Auckland under-16 representative team, losing both games 9–1 and 4–0 respectively. International Ice Hockey Federation
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has 83 member countries. The IIHF maintains the IIHF World Ranking based on international ice hockey tournaments. Rules of play for IIHF events differ from hockey in North America and the rules of the National Hockey League (NHL). Decisions of the IIHF can be appealed through the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland. The IIHF maintains its own hall of fame for international ice hockey. Mexico competed at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne, Switzerland from 9 to 22 January 2020. They competed with 7 athletes in 2 sports.
