Luis Ferdinand Vega Jr. (born June 12, 1965), as known as "Little Louie" Vega, is an American DJ, record producer and Grammy Award winner remixer of Puerto Ricans in the United States, Puerto Rican ancestry. He is one half of the Masters at Work musical production team. Biography He was born to a musician family, as his father, Luis F. Vega Sr., was a jazz saxophone, saxophonist, and his uncle was singer Héctor Lavoe of the Fania All-Stars. Vega embarked on his music career as a disc jockey, spinning records at the age of 13. By 1985, Louie began playing house and block parties in his local Bronx and his first nightclub residency was at the Devil's Nest, in the Bronx, and later he moved to heartthrob (the old Funhouse), Roseland, Studio 54 and the Palladium in Manhattan. Luis Calderón Vega (1911–1989) was a Mexican politician and writer. Along with other leading opposition politicians, he was one of the founders of the National Action Party (PAN) in 1939. Calderón Vega, who married María del Carmen Hinojosa González, was a prominent politician in his native Michoacán. He also authored several books, including the seminal political overview of the so-called "1915 Generation", '' Los Siete Sabios de México.'' He served in the lower house of Congress, before resigning from the PAN in 1981, believing the party had abandoned the progressive ideals he favoured to become a right-wing party that served only the interests of the rich. Luis Vega González (born 16 July 1960) is a Spanish mathematician, specializing in partial differential equations. Vega graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid with a bachelor's degree in 1982 and received his doctorate in 1988 from Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) under Antonio Barba with thesis ''El multiplicador de Shrödinger la función maximal y los operadores de restriction''. Vega was a Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago as a postdoc. He taught, as an assistant professor, until 1993 at the UAM and then at the University of the Basque Country, where he received a full professorship in 1995. Luis Laso de la Vega (or Luis Lasso de la Vega) was a 17th-century Mexican priest and lawyer. He is known chiefly as the author of the ''Huei tlamahuiçoltica'' ("The Great Happening"), an account published in 1649 and written in the Nahuatl language, which contains a narrative describing the reported apparition of the Virgin Mary before Saint Juan Diego in 1531, some 117 years earlier. The account describes the appearance of the apparition now known as Our Lady of Guadalupe to Juan Diego (an indigenous convert to Roman Catholicism, whose original pre-conversion name is given as Cuauhtlatoatzin) at the hill of Tepeyac. Luis Vega Ramos (born June 11, 1970) is a Puerto Rican lawyer and politician. He was a member of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives from 2006 to 2021.
