Luis Alberto Rivera Morales (born 21 June 1987, in Agua Prieta) is a Mexican long jumper. His personal best is 8.46 metres, achieved in July 2013. He attended Central Arizona College, where he learned English. After finishing his General Studies degree, he attended the University of Arizona, where he was named all-American in long jump. He finished his Bachelor in Science in Industrial Engineering. Currently, he is studying his PhD in Systems and Industrial Engineering. In 2013, Luis Rivera competed at the World University Games held in Kazan, Russia, where he jumped 8.46 meters to take the gold medal in a head-to-head battle with Russian national favorite Aleksandr Menkov, who finished 4 cm behind. Luis Ramon Rivera Rivera (born September 4, 1986 in Humacao) is a Puerto Rican gymnast. Rivera had won a total of three medals at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, including two golds for the team all-around and pommel horse. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he finished fourteenth in the men's individual all-around final, with a total technical score of 90.175. He is also affiliated with Federacion Puertorriqueña de Gimnasia (Puerto Rican Federation of Gymnastics), and is coached and trained by Jose and Juan R. Colon. Luis Antonio Rivera Pedraza (born January 3, 1964) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball coach, and a former infielder who played for the Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Houston Astros, and Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). Rivera began coaching in the Cleveland Indians organization in 2000, and worked as their infield and first base coach from 2006 to 2009. In 2010, he joined the Toronto Blue Jays as a coaching assistant, and became the third base coach in 2012. Professional career Rivera signed with the Montreal Expos as an international free agent, and played four years in their minor league organization before making his MLB debut on August 3, 1986. Luis Rivera Gutierrez (born June 21, 1978) is a Mexican right-handed former Major League Baseball pitcher. He is tall and weighs . He is currently the manager for the Rieleros de Aguascalientes of the Mexican League. Career Prior to being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Braves in 1995, he attended Sistema Prepatoria Abierta in Telucha, Mexico. He began his professional career in 1996 with the GCL Braves, not playing in American baseball in 1995 because he was loaned by the Braves to the Tigres del Mexico. With the GCL Braves in 1996, he went 1–1 with a 2.59 ERA. In 1997, he pitched for the Danville Braves and Macon Braves, going a combined 5–1 with a 2.03 ERA in 13 games started. Luis Guillermo Rivera Martínez (born June 11, 1975) is a retired Colombian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder for Emelec in the Ecuadorian Football League. Luis Muñoz Rivera (July 17, 1859 – November 15, 1916) was a Puerto Rican poet, journalist and politician. He was a major figure in the struggle for political autonomy of Puerto Rico in union with Spain. In 1887, Muñoz Rivera became part of the leadership of a newly formed Autonomist Party. In 1889, he successfully ran a campaign for the position of delegate in the district of Caguas. Subsequently, Muñoz Rivera was a member of a group organized by the party to discuss proposals of autonomy with Práxedes Mateo Sagasta, who would grant Puerto Rico an autonomous government following his election. He served as Chief of the Cabinet of this government.
