Luis Franco (boxer)
Luis Franco Vazquez (born January 14, 1982) is a Cuban pro boxer best known for participating at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the featherweight division (– 57 kg). Amateur Franco won the junior world championships in 2000 at the age of 14. He lost the 2003 national bantamweight final to Guillermo Rigondeaux and went up to featherweight. In 2004 he lost the national featherweight final to Exer Rodriguez but was sent to the Olympics anyway where he lost to Vitali Tajbert. He qualified for the Olympic Games by ending up in first place at the 1st AIBA American 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Tijuana, Mexico. Prior to the Athens Games he won the 2004 Acropolis Boxing Cup in Athens, Greece by defeating Turkey's Sedat Tasci in the final of the featherweight division. Yordenis Ugás Hernández (born 14 July 1986) is a Cuban professional boxer. He held the WBA (Super) welterweight title from 2021 to April 2022, having previously held the WBA (Regular) title from 2020 until being elevated to Super champion. As an amateur, Ugás won a gold medal at the 2005 World Championships and bronze at the 2008 Olympics, both in the lightweight division. As of October 2021, he is ranked as the world's third-best active welterweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, ''The Ring'' magazine and BoxRec. He is also ranked as the eighth-best active boxer, pound for pound, by BoxRec. Yuriorkis Gamboa Toledano (born 23 December 1981) is a Cuban professional boxer. He is a former unified featherweight world champion, having held the WBA and IBF titles between 2009 and 2011, as well as the WBA interim championship in both the super featherweight and lightweight divisions. Guillermo Rigondeaux Ortiz (; born 30 September 1980) is a Cuban professional boxer. He is a former world champion in two weight classes, having held the unified WBA (Super), WBO and ''Ring'' magazine super bantamweight titles between 2013 and 2017, and the WBA (Regular) bantamweight title from 2020 to 2021. He has also challenged once for the WBO junior lightweight title in 2017. Possessing one of the greatest amateur records of all time, Rigondeaux won consecutive gold medals in the bantamweight division at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. He is also a seven-time Cuban national champion at bantamweight (2000–2006), finishing his amateur career with a record of nearly 475 fights with 12 losses; the last of these losses occurring in 2003.
