Luis Federico Thompson
Luis Federico Thompson (19 December 1927 – 8 January 2010) was an Argentine professional boxer. Born in Colon, Panama, he later moved to Argentina where he was nationalized and afterwards became the Argentine and South American boxing champion. Career Thompson debuted in 1947 with a fight against Wilfredo Brown in Panama City which ended in a draw. On October 7, 1951, he fought Wilfredo Brewster defeating him and winning the Panamanian Lightweight Title for the first time. Two months later, he fought Wilfredo Brown again. Brown won the match by TKO in the 8th round taking the title from Thompson. A month later on January 27, 1952, Thompson and Brown had their second rematch where Thompson won by decision, reclaiming the Panamanian Lightweight Title in the process. ''El Gráfico'' is an Argentine online sports magazine, originally published by Editorial Atlántida as a print publication between 1919 and 2018. ''El Gráfico'' was released in May 1919 as a weekly newspaper, and then turned to a sports magazine exclusively. It began to be scheduled monthly from 2002, and was discontinued in 2018, continuing only online. The magazine was nicknamed ''La Biblia del deporte'' ("The Bible of sports") due to its chronicles, notable journalists and collaborators and its photographies. Luis Manuel Rodríguez
Luis Manuel Rodríguez (17 June 1937 – 8 July 1996) was a Cuban professional boxer. Known as "El Feo", he began his career in pre-Castro Havana. In Cuba, he twice defeated the ill-fated future welterweight champion Benny Paret. He held the WBA, WBC, and lineal welterweight titles in 1963, and challenged once for the WBA, and WBC middleweight titles in 1969. After the Cuban Revolution, Rodríguez campaigned in the United States. Fighting out of Miami, Rodriguez decisioned top welterweights such as Virgil Akins and Rudell Stitch. Professional career He was unbeaten in 36 fights before losing a split decision to Emile Griffith in a 1960 non-title fight. Don Jordan (June 22, 1934 – February 13, 1997) was an American boxer born in Los Angeles, California and was the Welterweight Champion of the World from 1958 to 1960. His nickname was ‘Geronimo’. Gaspar Ortega
Gaspar "Indio" Ortega (born October 31, 1935) was a Mexican professional boxer and is considered one of the best Welterweight boxers from Mexico.
