Luis Aragonés
Luis Aragonés Suárez (; 28 July 1938 – 1 February 2014) was a Spanish football player and manager. Aragonés spent the majority of his career as a player and coach at Atlético Madrid. He was a prominent player and then coach of the successful Atlético team of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The team were List of Spanish football champions, national champions four times, reached the 1974 European Cup Final. Between 1964 and 1974, he played 265 La Liga, Primera Liga games for Atlético and scored 123 goals. He also played for several other clubs, including Real Madrid C.F., Real Madrid, and played 11 times for Spain, scoring three goals. Hortaleza
Hortaleza is one of the 21 districts of the city of Madrid, Spain. History Origin The first recorded human activity in the area of Hortaleza was the existence of a nomadic or semi-nomadic population in the Paleolithic and Neolithic eras, as attested to by the findings of numerous prehistoric tools in sites in the Valdebebas stream and in the historical center of Hortaleza itself, which were discovered at the end of the 19th century by the archaeologist Dr. Javier Pastor Muñoz. The current neighborhood of Hortaleza developed from the old town of , located on the hill formed between the Manzanares and Jarama rivers. The village was supplied with water by two streams, the Valdebebas and the Abroñigal. The town was most probably founded in the 13th century, with written attestation of it by 1361. 1974 European Cup Final
The 1974 European Cup Final was contested between Bayern München of West Germany and Atlético Madrid of Spain. This marked the first time in club history for both Bayern and Atlético to contest in a European Cup Final. Goals in extra time from Luis Aragonés and Hans-Georg Schwarzenbeck cancelled each other out, so a replay took place two days later. Bayern won the replay convincingly, with two goals each from Uli Hoeneß and Gerd Müller, giving the German side a 4–0 victory. The 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2008 or simply Euro 2008, was the 13th UEFA European Championship, a quadrennial football tournament contested by the member nations of UEFA (the Union of European Football Associations).
