Luigi Riccardi
Luigi Riccardi (Lione, 1808Milan, 1877) was an Italian painter. He created landscapes and watercolors. He trained under Giuseppe Bisi Giuseppe Bisi (1787–1869) was an Italian painter, mainly of landscapes in a Romantic style. In 1829, he traveled to Rome, and painted landscapes in Lazio. Giuseppe Bisi
Giuseppe Bisi (1787–1869) was an Italian painter, mainly of landscapes in a Romantic style. In 1829, he traveled to Rome, and painted landscapes in Lazio. He returned to Milan and in 1838, was named professor of landscape painter for the Accademia di Brera. He was the brother of the painter Michele Bisi, and married the painter Ernesta Legnani; their daughter Fulvia Bisi trained as a painter with her father. His nephew Luigi became a prominent painter. Poldi-Pezzoli Museum
The Museo Poldi Pezzoli is an art museum in Milan, Italy. It is located near the Teatro alla Scala, on Via Manzoni 12. The museum was originated in the 19th century as a private collection of Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli (1822–1879) and his mother, Rosa Trivulzio, of the family of the condottiero Gian Giacomo Trivulzio. Many of the rooms in the palace were redecorated starting in 1846, a commissions entrusted to Luigi Scrosati and Giuseppe Bertini. Individual rooms were often decorated and furnished to match the paintings hung on the walls. The architect Simone Cantoni (1736–1818) rebuilt the palazzo in its present Neoclassical style with an English-style interior garden. In 1850–1853, Poldi Pezzoli commissioned the architect Giuseppe Balzaretto to refurbish his apartment.Museum website

Eugenio Gignous
Eugenio Gignous (4 August 1850 – 30 August 1906) was an Italian painter born in Milan, which when he was born was part of the Austrian Empire. Biography The son of a silk merchant from Lyon, Gignous displayed a precocious talent for painting and enrolled at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in 1864, attending the courses on landscape taught by Luigi Riccardi and then Gaetano Fasanotti. He came into contact with the Milanese Scapigliatura movement when still very young and formed a close friendship with Tranquillo Cremona. He began to focus exclusively on landscape in the 1870s, experimenting with painting en plein air and producing views of the Lombard and Piedmontese countryside that he showed at all the major national exhibitions.
